Garrus in my main playthrough. Tali is my Shepard's romance but it's not just that, Garrus seems like the sort of character who would do the sacrifice. I'm sure Tali would, but Garrus seems more fitting. They are my two favourite characters though, so it would be hard either way.

Uhh... are you answering, "Who would you sacrifice", or "Who would you save"?

You know that there is something more yes, but most of the main story mission enemies are Geth. Although my argument is a bit moot considering the only reaon Tali becomes an expert in Geth software is becuse of her journey with Shepard...

Tali was already very familiar with Geth before meeting Shepard. Remember, her whole reason for joining up with Shepard was that she had tracked some Geth down and stolen one of their memory cores.

Anyway, as far as fighting Geth goes, team Dextro makes a great duo, especially for Overlord. (As long as you do Tali's LM first.)

If I'm metagaming, Tali. She's needed to have a chance at peace. If I'm playing from a RP perspective, then it's whichever Shepard likes more.

Tali, Garrus is too much of a yes man for me. At least, he's not as bad as Liara when it comes to forced friendship.

both of them are engineers of different kinds. simply look at garrus' skillset through the series and his constant calibrations on the normandy's weapon systems.

garrus is a combat engineer and tali is a support type engineer.

would save tali most of the time, admiral is more useful can fill garrus' shoes in ME2 with Miranda and in ME3 with EDI.

Considering this is ME1 and Garrus has not evolved into the awesome Bromander he eventually became in ME2/3, then Tali.

Tali because I dislike how her recruitment is forced on me.

Shepard has less reasons to recruit Tali than to recruit Wrex, Garrus, Shiala, any Salarian on Kirahe's team, and a variety of other NPCs.

If I wanted to see boobs I'd hit on Ashley or Liara both of which actually put out.

Ask yourself how Tali's immune system adapts to Shepard in the span of a year and then tell me about putting out.

In retrospect, knowing what comes later, I would pick Garrus. He's such a bro. But he didn't really come into his own until ME2.

So at the time I probably would've saved Tali. She's sweet and innocent and I imagine I would've wanted to protect her. Whereas garrus is much more the soldier and as such more prepared to do what's necessary and sacrifice his life for the mission.

Yes. At the point the decision is made, I would save Garrus. And hey, maybe then Kal Reegar could take Tali's place as a squadmate for the rest of the trilogy.
