Hey all,
I've been playing ME on Xbox since '07 but back a few months ago in September I was handed down an excellent like-new PS3 500GB for relatively cheap.  Here's my question: Even though I have it already for 360, I'd like to get it for PS3 also.  But, should I get the Trilogy or buy them individually?

I noticed that the Trilogy is $40 but does NOT have all the story related DLC's, in fact,it's almost nothing.  So I was out shopping tonight and saw ME 2 for like $7.99 (used) and on the front of the box it says "Play over 6+ hours of extra content, including Kasumi, Overlord, and LotSB".  Even though it was used the package was sealed.

Here's my actual question: I know that the Cerberus Code was used already by the previous owner, but is Kasumi, Overlord and LotSB DLC's on the actual game disc or is it only obtainable by a code and downloading it off the PSN?  Because if there was a code for those DLC too, just like the Cerberus Network code, then the code was more than likely already activated by the previous owner too and probably not worth getting.

thanks!

Eh, if you're going to hold on to the XBox, I wouldn't really bother repurchasing the trilogy for another console. I'd only really recommend repurchasing the trilogy if you were looking for games to get for PC, since PC has mods that you can mess around with, not to mention allowing you to surpass both consoles in terms of graphics.

If you haven't already played the DLCs for Mass Effect 2 and 3, do so. Everything from the DLCs carry over to the next game. It does warrant a complete playthrough of the series again. I'm finishing my second playthrough with Mass Effect 3. I've got Leviathan and the Citadel DLC to complete and then I'm going to put away the trilogy for good.

I am pretty sure you cannot get a standalone ME1 for the PS3. Meaning that the only way to play ME1 on the PS3 would be to buy the trilogy edition. But why would you want to? Just play it on the xbox again.

You can download the digital version of ME1 to the PS3. Thats what I did.

NEVER play the trilogy on PS3. The only game that totally works is ME3. The other ones are far inferior to Xbox 360 versions and of couse PC MASTUR RACE. Okay ME3 also has some pretty severe framerate problems, far more frequent than on Xbox but it's the loading times and extra glitches in ME1 and ME2 respectively that hurt the experience for me. I played the trilogy on both PC and PS3 at least twice, and I can assure you Xbox does have the edge over PS3 in ME Trilogy

The only issues I ran into bar ME3's framerate not being so great in some areas were those that exist on all platforms, like the sudden framerate drops in Chora's Den or when the player reaches a certain point on Noveria in the Mako.

@OP The Mass Effect Trilogy edition on PS3 comes with Bring Down the Sky (ME1) and Kasumi - Stolen Memories, Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker (ME2) on the disc, so you won't need a code for those. It's just Arrival, the Cerberus Pack and ME3's DLC you would need to download.
