I just got words from Webhallen ( a Swedish webstore). That Mass Effect CE is being delayed for one week. This really isn't fair. Why would EA delay sught a good game. I have also prorder it for 3 months ago. Just to get it on release date and now I can't. Thanks EA for making you consumers happy, thanks a lot.

I'm a Finn myself, and so far there hasn't been any changes to the promised schedule, and the Nordic countries tend to be treated as one unit by the game companies...

I think it's manly from Sweden. All Swedish destributeur is delayed. For whatever reason I don't know. I hope it would not effect the rest of Europe.

I just want to make things clear only CE is being delayed not the standard edision.

Can't you just cancel your preorder and buy a digital download from direct2drive.com, which lists Sweden (unlike Norway ) as an eligible country?

I could do that. But, on the other hand I'm a sentimental guy. I like the feeling of reading the comics in the old ways. Beside, it would not be a collector piece of art if it's electronic. You cannot put it on the shelf.

Yeah I just checked my inbox. This sucks. I was planning on having a nice mass effect week end. I was considering canceling my pre order and just buy the regular. But then I thought why not just wait it out. 8 days to release just got bumped up to 13 or 15 days . Hopefully I won't find any spoliers during this time.

In order not to find any spoilers you would need to stay out of forums like these which is pretty hard.

Seems to be all. Atleast all the stores I've checked has release date set to Feb 2.

It's a shame that you need to do that. I just hope I get it on a monday. 2th February.

Hmm, kinda seems lucky I had to cancel my preorder of the CE now. My economy tells me to go for the cheapter alternative, and seems my attention span of doom now does the same.



Still a shame it got delayed though. I read somewhere that Poland got the same deal.

Ok I just got it confirmed. The release date for CE will be 4th February. But the SE and digitial one is the same as before.

I bet its because localizations are lagging, either that, or they wont have time to produce enough copies to satisfy demand given the closeness to the american release. ??



If its localisations, that pisses me off; I mean fine if you wanna wait for Martin Sheen to be replaced by some german dude, thats your business, but I dont know of anyone in sweden, or the UK for that matter, who bothers putting in that second dvd with all the language localizations....

This seriously pisses me off.
spelbutiken.se has delayed the CE to the 5th, the regular edition is still on for the 28th.
I've had my preordered for over a month and a half!

Why don't you pay some extra money for the game, and get the game one week later?

Yeah, I cancelled my CE order over this and got a SE version instead. I want the game ASAP, not some extra silly equipment in-game when everyone else has already gotten to play it for a week

My bad, turns out only CE is delayed. SE is on schedule for 28th. only 29th in UK. Yay Nordics!

I got the message CE will release the 28th in belgium. I seriously hope it will won't be delayed any longer for it would ****** me off :s Pre-ordered months ago so I could get the promotion from my local game store that would upgrade you to the CE for the same price as the normal version.
