I'd rather have a maker that calls his chantry out for their BS
Now that would be a twist

I don't see how the issue of the Maker's existence is even relevant to the mage debate.HiroVoid wrote...
It's every pro-mage's dream come true.
Eh. I was generalizing. Anti-Chantry would be more accurate and again....generalizing any time I say EVERY or ALL THE TIME with most subjects.Plaintiff wrote...

Wanna see Andraste backhand the revered Mothers of Thedas.

Dear lord no! That'd just be some sort of awful concept meant to demonize (literally!) a religion. Stick to human conundrums that provide moral/ethical dilemmas where one can see a religion as good or bad, not throwing in some "We're worshiping a Demon!" nonsense in there.

IF the Maker is shown to exist, I expect Bioware will leave room for players to form their own opinions about him/her/it, just like they have for literally every other thing. Even if they don't, players aren't obliged to accept Bioware's moral position.
As far as I'm concerned, an omnipotent creator who would look on the current state of Thedas and do nothing is unquestionably evil, regardless of how sympathetically Bioware attempts to portray them.

I say the maker should never even be confirmed to exist or not.

Maybe Entropic could be an atheist who doesn't project their hate into the setting.

I say the maker should never even be confirmed to exist or not. Making it a demon would also be a dull way to take the series, just another dime-a-dozen darkedgy plot twist meant to try and shock the audience, but really just cheapens the entire lore.

I hope the "Maker" ends up being Alanis Morissette.
