They both pose threats.

It's difficult to quantify and compare the extent of those threats, though.

I'm more concerned about the Qunari, to be honest.

How about the giant crack in the sky which demons are pouring out of?

Can we just agree Blood magic is inherently dangerous and just leave it at that?

Potentially, not inherently.

No, Inherently. It attracks demons and you have to harm yourself to us it.

That will be resolved within a single game.

We still have to deal with those hostile giants over there.

Thing is, the Qunari are a rather big threat alongside the Veil tear. And while we are scrambling to defeat this rip in the sky, the Qunari could easily take advantage of the chaos.

Most of Thedus would be dead by then, Qunari included.

I can still see them attempting to take advantage of the situation, at least against the Imperium. When the Veil starts tearing arounf Tevinter, there are going to be a crap ton of abominations created in Minrathous, which will probably screw up the bastion of Imperial strength.

..Which also will turn the qunari mages into Abominations as well. And we don't know it the change in the environment will allow normal to be possesed as well. Added, the demons can posses the dead and trees as well.....So it;s kind a point everyone is being attacked by everything and each other.

Yes it is. It's the final step of life. You are being dead. You may not be aware of it but you are being dead.

So if being alive means being in danger, does being dead mean you're safe? And what about being undead, are you in even more danger?

If you are dead there is no more you. You are not aware of that because you don't exist. <= I make no sense even talking in terms like that, because you can't even refer to someone if they don't exist.

Danger is something that might cause death or worsen the quality of life.
Life causes death. And in life there are constantly many dangers. Blood magic is just one of those things. Then again blood magic is danger more for other people not the user him/herself.

More of a case their is no more you as you were. You're just in a new form.
It still is a state of life.

And Life only causes death only because it a natural state of life.  Blood magic make life even more dangerous. So the point stands.

Not necessarily.

Despite all the dangers of abominations and blood mages that the Chantry teaches and that we've seen in the Circle's, we don't hear of any instances of abominations at all in Tevinter. Chances are they have a lot more knowledge and studies done on demons than the Chantry would ever allow, and may actually be safer than the mages of other countries and may actually end up more powerful as a result of the veil tears.

Merely speculation on my part.

Yeah we do. Fenris says that even in the Imperium templars sometimes need to act. He also mentinos he's seen many powerful abominations to Flemeth I think. Plus there is a story in World of Thedas where it mentions a mage trying to use blood magic to become "The Ascended Man" and he turned into an abomination "so horrific his apprentices tore their eyes out at the sight of him."

I doubt Tevinter has no Abominations. They may not be as deadly because of Tevinter magical knowledge, but Fenris has seen a few in his life so chances are it's from his time as a slave (Tevinter happens to just be north of the Free Marches after all).

And if anything, the Veil tear is going to make Tevinter stronger. I recall reading or hearing that's part of the reason the MT War is so dangerous. Mages got a massive boost to the spells they can cast. Tevinter's probably going to take advantage of this to press the Qunari.

And some Magister will seek GODHOOD. Because meh, that's just how Tevinter seems to be. If they're not seeking power for power's sake, they're just douchebags in general.

I doubt they don't have any either. I'm just saying that we haven't heard of them having them, and was offering another possibility.

They burned everything, until nothing moving was left alive.

Many died by suicide to finally get it done.

With the power of jazz. Abominations can't stand jazz. The awesomeness is too much for them.
