Well I'll continue living in hope that this doesn't happen in the UK, but I'm not holding my breath. You wouldn't think printing a comic (something that is quite common practise) would cause all this, especially with such a big company handling production. Ah well, no other choice but to wait, the CE looks too awesome for me to change my order.

It can't be the comic book that is causing this? it was in stores almost a month ago, it must have been in print even longer then that?



Even tho my order is now standard edition instead, I am not so sure I made the rigth choice.



Still im not going to wait the extra time knowing that "maybe/hopefully/at best" someday in week 5.

i heard it was the artbook that was having printing issues.

Meh yeah could be right. Regardless of which item it is, its delaying the entire package. Why not cancel and buy digitally? Still get the same sweet stuff, and you don't have a stupid case taking up space.

Here in Hungary we have the same issue, my order was changed to February, 5th.

Dunno if it helps, but may it gives you a new date to count on.



Anyways, as for in-game contents (except for collectors armor and AR, or any items, I don't care for them that much) the CE and normal edition are the same, aren't they?

I'd really like to know because if they are, then I'll change my order to normal edition.

But I didn't want to start a new topic about it, that's why I ask it here.

Indeed, I was misremembering. Still, an annoying thing to hold up the release at this point! (Although I did love the me1 artbook)

yep the ingame contents is the same except one armor and one armor set.

The game contents are the same as BW revealed it. Recently it was revealed that cerberus card comes also in SE. Thus only unique items in CE are:
art-book
comics
"makings of" DVD
Collectors armor and rifle

Thus you will be missing in the game only one suite of armor and a rifle. But there are DLC that promiss more content including items.

I already changed my pre-order for SE.

I got the mail too now. Sounds like BS, they're basicly saying its due to the high demand that is the reason for the bump. Can't they simply say its due to production fault/printing error at their supplier...

I say we demand both the pre-order bonuses from the SE and CE edition for being forced to wait due to their mistakes as compensation.

Could they be printing a localised version of the comic (so swedes get one in swedish and vice versa), maybe thats the reason for the delay? I'd rather have it in english myself, I can't stand translated books so I try to get the original language whenever possible.

Havent heard anything about this in norway, release dates havent changed from "platekompaniet" where i got my preorder... really hope this doesnt happend as i cant afford to buy it in the normal edition aswell.

Hahaha, yeah and now when everyone changed orders for SE they will be runing around and asking if anyone wants CE
The main fan group who might go for CE because they love this game will change for SE because *again* they love this game and want it asap.
Thus chance that CE will sell well once fans get a copy, is very low. Not many people like the idea of buying two copies, due to different reasons. (I would buy it if it will be still there when the price will drop drasticly).
And chance that random people want to start ME for the first time in their live with CE is slightly not so well promissing.

Yeah, both Verkkokauppa.com and tilt.fi have changed the release date of ME2 CE. I switched my order from the CE to the regular edition :´(

Yeah, I got the mail too - looks like it's supposed to be a Europe-wide issue. I just waited two weeks extra for my PS3 DAO CE preorder, so I guess I'm going to punish myself for this recurring incompetence (yeah, I'm calling it, when stuff like this happens with two consecutive releases, it's incompetence - or prioritising some markets over others) and just buy the regular edition instead. With the Blackstorm, hopefully.
