Q. For what Tile set hakpack would it be worth implementing diagonal metatiles?
I was going to attempt the RWS Dungeons tileset, but I can't get those tiles to load in Blender.

Could they perhaps be loaded in Gmax and exported into another format that Blender can import?

Could be, but I don't own a Gmax license, alas.
I was thinking I might take a look at the RWS Deep Halls Anniversary Edition and see if diagonal hallways would be useful there.
Ed.: Oh, Gmax is free. I might have to give it a try then. Thanks.

I'm pleased to announce that the Diagonal Metatiles hakpack has been updated to include the Standard Castle and Estate diagonal tiles, plus a few additional metatile variants. Each set now has a diagonal corridor metatile with a side room, plus there are two sets of 1x2 metatiles that end in a door.
Here's a demo of the Castle tile set:

My goal was to be able to at least somewhat reproduce a dungeon layout like that of the ToEE temple levels. Hopefully that can be done now.

Added support for these new metatiles to my project. Vault 2.0/Nexus is updated.

I made some revisions to the metatiles models for the Estate, Interior, and Mine sets so that they blend properly with the other tiles in the respective sets. This is available as revision 1.4.
