Her new look just seems out of character. I guess it would be fine if she let it down during parties, R&R, or even just hanging around on the ship. But in battle it just seems she would want to tie it up or something, so it doesn't get in the way; instead of keeping loose like she's filming for a shampoo ad.

Sigh... I don't know. Maybe I'm just old and I hate it when things change.

Ashley is still the same, she has the same facial structure and features, including those perfect lips of hers:wub:... >.>...<.<...*cough*. Its just that she let her hair down(A change of hairstyle can make someone look very different), put on some make up(We all know the miracles this can do) and her face is higher res(About time).

Almost everyone is a massive improvement from their ME1 and ME2 equivalents, the likes of Sheploo and Kaidan especially. Game characters get better looking over the course of the series due to graphical improvements, expecting them to look like they did in the first game is unrealistic, since it would mean that the devs would have to gimp the game. I'm pretty sure no one ever wants to return back to ME1 graphics.

Another big one is just how apathetic your squadmates are most of the time. Even nice, morally upstanding ones like Tali or Garrus have no problem remaining loyal to you even if you, say, murder an innocent civilian for kicks after they advise you not to, or leave a whole refinery of people to burn to death.  Furthermore, no one on the Citadel cares about a Cerberus agent murdering an alien politician... even if you don't even have Spectre status. It reminds me that the Paragon route is the expected one.

Heck this should apply to just about every space scene since the first game. The Normandy zipping by makes the engine whine noise. At least Firefly allowed us to have a space opera that actually had silence in space.

Auditory emulators according to Steve.

I've only had this rock stay visible in a single playthrough. I will always cherish that moment and lament its passing.

I remember. I love how there's a weird little explanation for every common trope in the game.

Well, I did say it was common, though Mass Effect is the only one that really bothers to throw some kind of reason for it in the setting.

....when I realized my Shepard is ACTUALLY a better sniper than Garrus as I dropped three headshots with one slug of a crusader (through a Cerberus shield). I never made my Shepard lose the friendly competition on the citadel ever since

I have never lost that bottle shooting competition ever, it would be very disrespectful to Garrus, I sure as hell wouldn't have appreciated it if someone thought I needed their help to beat them. It should have been a proper mini game though, where we had control over the sniper rifle and played sudden death rules, no time dilation powers allowed. Oh that would have been fun.

I typically lose, and disregard the "on purpose" part. My infiltrator Shep always wins though, since the sniper rifle is her precious.

Well....I assumed I would allow my shep to lose because he is a vanguard and Garrus is a sniper nut BUT after that shot.......all hail the mighty crusader. Ir was I using a modded Saber....uhm cannot remember I use pretty much only those 2 weapons

Yeah the Crusader's a badass gun. Definitely my vanguard's best friend, with its ranged capabilities.

The most immersion breaking thing to me is ME3 Shepard lost any sense of ME1 or ME2 rebelliousness. Even in the small variations in dialogue. You can't roleplay much as someone who's all that frustrated. You just play a guy who gets orders like any other Special Ops type and jumps into battlezones. You were allowed to talk back more to the Council in ME1, or TIM in ME2, or disagree with Anderson or Hackett at times. Then it all changes in ME3. Starting right from the beginning of the game on Earth, the level of patience it takes to be Shepard is nearly superhuman - and therefore immersion breaking for me. No one is superhuman. It's an aspect of the game that seems truly written for new players. Shepard's personality is treated more like a "fresh start". It doesn't account for any of the baggage other players might've built up if they played the rest of the series.

edit: lol... ahem. I seem to have forgotten you were looking for "funny" immersion breaking moments. I'll try to get back to you on that.

When you get to the end of ME3 pre-EC and see the relays exploding and wiping out the galaxy, making everything you done pointless.
