I wonder if there is some good material for a silken cocoon somewhere? I still remember the creepy spider cocoons in the BG sewers.

Those chain placeables...how do they look when you scale them up? Like a lot...One of the items we don't have in our placeable pile is a set of giant chains that can be attached to things, like floating towers in the sky and such.
There are chains in the purgatory set.

They come in three lengths to allow different size links when scaling. These will be in the Update 02 to the placeables 2da, that I hope now to get out at the weekend but you likely have your own 2da. That said, they should be in the same place as mine so I can dropbox a link to the mdb, texture and utp if you would like them.
Just remember to go and vote on the purgatory prologue module

mokah : the chains looks good scaled up (10x here), but it depends what you mean by "like a lot"...
pj : interesting, do you have a closer view of these chains ?
and do you have other screens of the stuff provided by this set ?

Still a perfectly acceptable texture though. That said, if MGS wants big, yours are going to be better if they are near to the player.
I will post some pictures of the other items on the placeables thread. There 342 of them though so its more of a taster. Many are representations of the same item though.

rj : thanks ! I don't remember having seen silken cocoons,
There are silken cocoons in purgatory and in the hidden oc content. Qkrch did the tintable cocoons Callister mentioned but they are more like eggs than a cocoon. I am sure I have seen another cocoon as well but it is not coming up in any sensible search so I will post if I find it later.

Yeah...that's the proper size. I knew about the Purg chains, but as it was pointed out, they don't scale right for my purposes. Any chance there are different orriented versions?

I made a new placeable : a fountain to quench the thirst of all these dungeon explorers !
What ? Poisoned water ? Noooo, of course not^_^
screen 1
screen 2
I also separated the stone face to make an other placeable. It could be a nice fireball trap, a riddle asker, or just a magic mouth who gives good advices to the adventurers (How to open this door ? Find the key !).

The solo head is great too but i like it more in the frame of the circular stone rim.
All very nice work though.

Did you create the stone face from scratch or use one of the head models? It was something I was thinking about for a bearded dwarf head or two.

And maybe you're right for the solo head, I'll create one with the circular stone frame.
rj : I created the stone face from scratch, starting from this picture I found on google. I reworked it in photoshop to give it a more "mossy" appearance, and applied it in gmax on a flat plan. Then, I cutted the plan following the main lines of the face, and moved the vertices (always on the same axis, to avoid stretching the texture) to obtain a relief.
That's a difficult exercice, but the result is interesting^_^.

Since this tileset is all the same texture, would you make it tintable so we can change the colours?
This was a horrendous oversite in the original game. Usability goes up many times if I can change this classic grey/moss dungeon into orange adobe with dark dirt and so on.
Thank you for your work.
