Ah, good tip. I'll try turning the sky off. It's an exterior in my case.

Edit: Turning the sky off lets me see the placeables under the surface of the water.  However, I notice that it shows the entirety of placeables buried under the surface of the ground, as well, as long as they're underwater.

There is no need to make a new grate tile just to eliminate the bars in the drain. It's a very simple matter for us builders to use a black circle vfx and place it over the bars.

I just finished the first metatile of this tileset, a rock bridge over a dark chasm :

The bridge itself is a separate piece from the cliffs. That will enable me to use the two cliffs to build other types of bridges, with wood, stone... and even let a metatile with only the two cliffs, so builders can use the bridge they want ^_^

its good to have an area that leaves the clausterphobic walls for a second... reminds you you might be deep under the earth. What might be useful as well, is a VERY similar meta tile, perhaps the same one, but with the second half of the bridge being a very wide circlular ledge so you can have a big fight there. Or the bridge could just taper wide and wider so the second half is basically a two tile ledge you can move around on.

Would a matching placeable work for that? Such as a large, round rock with a flat, walkable top.

It would outdoor areas but this is a tile... We can put a placeable disk but the walkmesh is written in stone so u cant leave the original bridge walkmesh

Not if the area outside the bridge is designated as non-walkable. Since it's pitch black that would be my assumption, as it is not merely a lowered floor height. Any way it can be done is great by me, or even if it's not done, this set is going to be huge.

Okay, how about this wall?  Surely that was marked as non-walkable.  There's a pitch black area between the sides of the wall, anyway.  I just put down a walkmesh helper, and it'll let you walk right through the wall.

Tchos is right, you can place a walkmesh helper on this metatile, it works very well.

As I said, I'll provide the same metatile, but without the bridge, so builders can use any means they want to reach the other side of the chasm (even the less safe).^_^

This discussion also gave me an other idea for this metatile.

Correct, walkmesh helpers take precedence over basically anything, including tile walls. I used that to do my secret doors in Crimmor. Demo video:

It looks very good. The catenary curve looks just about right and the texture and rope support looks nice.  If I had any concerns it would be that the layout of the slats is a little too perfect. Maybe if you varied the dimensions by just small increments?

I think that looks very good indeed. Is the bridge a placeable or does it form part of the tile?

Is the set to include chasm tiles or perhaps interface with some of the chasm tiles that RWS have produced over the various sets?

pj : the bridge is a part of a new metatile. I don't think I'll make chasm tiles, because it'd be a lot of work, but I'll probably make a link tile with the standard cave tileset.
