This is the first time I picked up Javik relatively late in the game: after Rannoch but before Thessia. So it was interesting to hear him say something along the lines of "For a soldier facing the Reapers I sense confidence rather than fear" when we had our initial talk. My EMS is over 6600. Another change I found was in Hacket's dialogue. Rather than talking about how to build the "device" or the "crucible" his interest had turned to finding out what the Catalyst was since the Crucible is already close to being completed.

It's a Renegade/Paragon check, I believe. Not EMS based.
edit: At least I think? I've never spoken to him except early in game. It'll vary on Paragon/Renegade.

It does not have anything to do with renegade/paragon. It has to do with what your EMS is and what stage of the game you are at. I've used the same character to play through the game a few times, and if I get Javik early, I get the first version of Javik's speech. If I get Javik late, I get the "I sense confidence ... you believe you are winning." version.

It has to do with how far along you are in the game, not P/R.
What *is* P/R-related with Javik is whether or not he thinks you're lying about doing whatever is necessary.
He'll believe it coming from Renegade!Shepard. He won't from Para!Shep.

there is also another ren/para check with another question, where the answers are about if you are out to kill the reapers. and if you say you are then he calls you a lier

His other dialogue that he has is when your ems is high (over 3000 I believe) he senses that shepard believes he/she is winningcap and gown wrote...
