Might take a stab at the fire drake once the Kirre's done (Model's done and works fine ingame, I just can't stop poking the bloody skin. Need to at least switch those horns over from the Pit Fiend texture to my modified one to keep the spikes and horns the same colour...), just not sure what's the best model for a... Spino-T-rex

Still needs a little work but it'll be joining the other PHoD Dark Sun Beasts by the end of the month.

Just your normal, everyday 12 foot long pseudoscorpion sort of thing.

Shemsu, I was looking at the bone and obsidian spear tips and thinking those would be great textures for dagger and sword blades.(hinting...fingers crossed.)
Do you mean, the ones in the "Tortoise Blades" or the ones in the "Dragon's Paw"?
Anyway if you are suggesting, to make some swords and daggers like those, That would be possible, when, I'll have finished with the Gith.
Very good thri-kreens BTW, thanks for your work.
@PHOD:
Another amazing creature, thanks for your work...

So many cool creatures and items being made. Lots and lots (and lots) of new models to work with.
For the non-model makers out there, how about open up the toolset and your favorite Dark Sun reference material and whip up some prefabs?
You could could make up some creature blueprints with stats/abilities/descriptions/etc., then just save them with generic critter appearance. Leave a note in the blueprint's comments section about what new appearance you'd like me to give it when I put together a demo module, and folks will get monsters ready to go.
Same with the great weapons being made. Anyone could make up some blueprints with the same base item type with good descriptions, then let me know what you want the final appearance to be for the demo.
Someone could still do up some prefab NPCs as well. Elven bandits set up to ambush PCs on a desert road? Cannibalistic halflings looking to "have some PCs over for dinner"? Templars (clerics) that try to bully PCs around when in a city?

Thus, if I avoid sleeping (which is a waste of time anyway) I should be able to continue to hit some more Dark Sun animals with big bricks. In this case, a very big brick...

Having never heard of Dark Sun before this challenge, I can't be sure, but the Mekillot would appear to be a fairly important beast in Athas, the "domesticated" ones apparently the major heavy beasts of burden. Thus, I thought I'd make one on the assumption someone might need one...
Well, two actually, since I also intend to do a domesticated version with a rider in a sort of houda thing and all that sort of over-ambitious rubbish.
This is likely to take a little time (between grappling the Velociraptors) so I thought I'd throw a WIP image on here in the meantime. Clearly this still needs lots of work - like some texturing for a start - but it has the basics; the dorsal armour, head frill, curled horns and, of course, the outrageous bulbous eyes (which will hopefully look less vacuously idiotic when textured with their surrounding bony armour).
And hopefully its beak will look rather less like the prow of the Titanic by the time I've kicked it round in gmax some more; might put more armour plates down over the upper flanks too.
As with almost every other creature I've tackled, the artwork out there keeps changing the way the thing looks but I think this should be a more or less accurate(ish) 2E version. Give or take... (even within the 2E stuff, there seems to be quite a lot of variation, especially in the armour plates).
PS:- Technically, wouldn't "cannibalistic" Halflings ONLY eat other Halflings?

They do. However they're also anthropophagi for what that means in that sort of world. As are the Thri-Kreen, though their tastes are more for delicious elf fleshPLUSH HYENA of DOOM wrote...

Seriously. D&D's best invested race, the Kreen

PHOD thanks for this, I love the Mekillots. People don't use to mount Mekillots, instead they are used for carrying heavy fortified chariots. Which are use for transporting goods, and guards from the great merchant houses. So perhaps instead of a mounted version you could made a packed one.

BTW Mekillots could be very dangerous, even for their masters, this creatures, are use to swallow any fool who stands in front of them, without any warning. They use their huge prehensile tongues, for that, like a chamaleon or a frog.
PS- The Drik is a "domestic animal" even bigger than the Mekillot...

Edit:
I am mainly using this video, which is the argosy and which is the mekillot ram? (also: what is the main difference?)

In the video the mekillot ram is the first which is showed. I suppose that both of them are similar "warfare vehicles"; However as I know the mekillot ram, I'm not familiarized with the Argos...

This thing is going to be a nightmare to skin, I guess sandstone-ish textures and wood would be the way to go?
Maybe adding a few spikes here and there, i'll see later this week ; )
