They are not better vs Geth than the Paladin, but they are pretty nasty. Them being able to take shields from every enemy on the map (or at least most of them on Platinum) makes them tough to beat, plus being able to detonate vs shields & barriers is also a huge bonus. But the Paladin is better vs Geth because Snap Cheat.
