God damnit Bioware. I've always had to play as Manshep to romance my favorite female character(still need to figure out how to get the same sex romance mod working), and I now I find out that I potentially didn't have to? Why Bioware? Why?
So I just found out that there were voice lines referencing Femshep, and Jack romance in LOTSB..

Interesting. That would've been cool. I was talking to a female not too long ago who played a maleshep because she liked Jack's romance. She's appealing either way.

There's a file of forfor femshep and tali there as well. Basically they had both Hale and Meers run and record every romance and but for whatever reason decided not to implement it IIRC.

So much anger, and disapointment.
I don't know why they wouldn't have jack as an option, it makes absolutly no sense.
Whatever.. Whats done is done, just gotta try to get that same sex romance mod working right.

It would have been great if the female Shepard could have romanced Jack.
So much of Jack's character development is tied into the romance, with female Shepard her arc just stops.

Huh. There's one for Miranda, too. Bizarre, considering it's for DLC released a good while after the vanilla game.

I don't think it was so much that they decided not to implement the romances (especially when it got to LotSB) just that they found it simpler to just get Meer and Hale to record all of Shepard's lines, regardless of any exclusivity. I can't remember the exact reason why (file-naming/grouping?) and wish I could find the source (I think Weekes mentioned it once) but I guess it made sure they were covered for other things. Either way, it's not as definite a sign of intention as you may hope (or had hoped...), unfortunately.

A lot of times when threads pop up discussing why some character isn't a bisexual LI, I want to facepalm. But with Jack it actually would have made sense. In conversation she can reveal that she has been with both men and women, so I'm not sure why she isn't a LI option for FemShep.

Try and peruse the plotflag-lists here with ME2 save-editor. Far less of a hassle than the gender-switch I've seen mentioned elsewhere.
Still the issue of Meer's couple lines being voiced for madam Shepard. I may try my hand at fixing that once audio-import is available for ME2.

Both Meer and Hale reordered all Shepard's lines regardless of gender or romance. Apparently the problem was that the actors were missing lines when they hunted for their own, so to to make things run smoother both Meer and Hale recorded all the lines for Shepard. There are rumors that Tali was considered for femshep, but I'm not sure if they were ever substantiated.
Case in point, I doubt this was ever meant to go into the game.
As for Jack not being romancable for femshep, I don't know why it wasn't included. Maybe they wanted an even number for each gender. Or maybe they were still hiding their heads in the sand. I believe BW was still insisting that Liara wasn't female at that time.
