We don't know anything. And if the past is any indication, even if they said something, you can't exactly take them at their word either. Not until the final day of release.

I think Bioware will move on to another PC but sadly if ME4 doesn't have Liara/Garrus/Tali their Fanbases will likely not buy the game and thats a lot of people.And thats alot of lost profit for Bioware and EA which is why I didn't think a prequal was even a serious option I think Shepard most likely will be brought back in ME5 if ME4 Tanks.

Chindingewe, all the statements have pointed in the opposite direction. One of the reasons is that by the time they got to the third game, there were so many decisions and variables with a minor or major impact in some storylines it was very hard to keep track of players' choices. This is what they said in several interviews and conferences.
They have also stated that future games would not feature any of Shepard's companions, but who knows.

Why is it that people like you always assume that the rest of the world shares your stupid opinions?
I have been a HUGE fan of Mass Effect since the PC release of ME1. I own all 3 games on PC and 360 + all the DLC that's like 300$ or something i've spent on these games, ive got hundreds upon hundres of hours worth of playthroughs. So yeah i'm part of the Mass Effect fanbase, and i will buy the next Mass Effect game whether or not the cast, is a new set of characters.
Your entitled to your opinion but please stop presenting your BS as fact.

If they announce ME4 at the Spike VGAs, I doubt it will be with a CG trailer rendered outside of the game engine. I also think it's more likely that we'll see the new BioWare IP rather than ME4.Smoksmo1615 wrote...

Just to clarify I couldn't care less if Shepard or his squad are ever brought back I am going to get ME4 anyways to support one of my favorite game franchises same as Dragon Age Inquistion.
I hope that Mass Effect 4 has good and interesting characters that can not only rival the Shepard Trilogy but surpass it one can hope right.

Best thing would be to probably wait for a trailer. I've seen a lot of "rumors" regarding ME3 last year, which turned up false, so I'm going to wait until something more concrete comes along.
