Do you deep-fry frogs down there? Or was I thinking of France?

Handy rule of thumb.  Take this question:   "Will you deep-fry ___________?

When applied to American Southerners, the answer is always yes.

Will you deep-fry green eggs and ham?

Will you fry them, Sam-I-Am?

Tasted so much like chicken to me that I couldn't see the point of not just eating chicken instead.

I never see the point to choosing any kind of non-chicken over chicken.

Roadkill is a delicacy in The South, isn't it?

Valentine's Day in Georgia.

Around New Orleans frog legs are eaten, not sure about elsewhere

not my favorite, too fishy, but not fish

Only ever had frog legs once, and I wasn't impressed.  Tasted so much like chicken to me that I couldn't see the point of not just eating chicken instead.

the most unique "niche" meat I've had is snapping turtle, perhaps because of how its usually served, but damn that stuff was good

Well, I've deep fried both eggs and ham before, and I've a friend who accidentally poured green food coloring onto her ham, so...yes, I will.

Well, if you've already killed the animal, why waste it?

So I see this thread taking up 90% of my feed, and I think to myself "What wacky mage/templar-related hijinks are afoot this time?" Then I open the thread to see everyone talking about... food.

Confused am I.

Not sure if you missed the fun, or managed to miss the thread until the fun started.

All this talk of frying things that should never be fried reminded me of this episode of Community.

And Ieldra is gonna be so disappointed about what her thread has become. You should be ashamed. :bandit:

There was a push by a Tennessee senator some years back to make it legal to take home a deer you hit on the road without having to report it.  Not sure if it ever made it into law, though.

Ieldra should make a post about what food they like. Help us get some nice dialogue going.

Wonder if the mage templar war could have been avoided if everyone had just sat around a nice drink in the hanged man and talked about food.

Bah!  Just because THEY say it shouldn't be fried doesn't mean you have to believe it!  Do you always do what you're told?

At that point, being eaten is probably the best thing that deer carcass can hope for. :?

Probably. Especially if turkey was involved.  Everyone would be too doped up on tryptophan(sp?) to have the energy to kill each other.
