Started slightly more than halfway down page 12. Worth the read, especially Plaintiff's reaction on about page 16 to American Southerners' tendency to deep fry everything we can get our hot little hands on.
.....Are you suggesting I would waste deep-fry batter in such a fashion? How dare you! What kind of a woman do you think I am?!?

Silfren, Are you Andraste? You've saved me a lot of time and trouble explaining the facts. I'm getting tired of having to repeat myself over and over again. It's tiresome.
Without a doubt some of the Pro-templars on this forum are so closed minded that when you try to show them facts and lore proving them that they're wrong, they still disagree with it. It's unbelievable that it's not even funny anymore.
The fact is abominations are RARE by fact of lore yet the pro-Templar's think that every mage who is free will become an abomination, and kill the innocent "normal" people.
Granted, much of DA2 was spent fighting too many God damn blood mages and abominations. I thought Broken Circle in DAO was ok, but DA2's amount was just freaking ridiculous.
So did I. I would happily concede that Bioware needs to do a better job of making the gameplay better reflect the lore. I get that there's limitations to how well that can be done, but I think most of those limitations are more to do with the PC being fabulously bad-ass. There's no reason to give us thousands of abominations as mooks to kill whe doing so contradicts the lore. Hell, overrunning us with carta dwarves and coterie thugs would make better sense.
Although SOME of us do have the means of separating gameplay from lore...

More accurately, we think that a rare abomination is sort of like a rare 7.0-8.0 earthquake. Only preventable.

Well considering that he was using shale to intimidate residents it is no wonder why peoples didn't liked him and why didn't take any action.
2.And now you are point anders and as i said screwd population with only guy who helps him he will be hero as long they will need him.And cullen mentioned that peoples don't want cooperate with templars (well im not suprised) i played pro-mage and only mage supporters in numbers were few as i mentioned minority families and rest mage supporters wanted just get rid of meredith not for mages sake.
3.Well weak example as primitive cultures well are poorly educated and porlly educated mean that they are prone to be controled by others like pesants so they accept it because they thing that it is right thing and that should be like tevinter slavers.
4Of course it is revelant few vs majority that few may like elves don't change their situation because others will burn them.
5.You wish you have it i was never cautioned by mods for my posts and my post aren't that long so we don't have problem but if you want it...

I guess we will certainly see much more powerful abominations now too in DA:I. I would bet that many upper tier demons will be possessing mages in this one. If we encounter a few ridiculously powerful ones, i.e. perhaps one of the complex rage or despair demons, I would be pretty cool with that. Cause I think most abominations that we have seen either are desire demon possessed or pride possessed. Perhaps a despair demon that fed off the pain and misery of a town, leading them all to attempt to commit suicide?Silfren wrote...

Again, you are simply wrong. Re-play the Honnleath quest. Matthias is the son of Wilhelm, and he is DEFINITELY a mage. What's in question is whether Matthias daughter is a mage, as that is not confirmed.

Dude you arguing with you looks that
Me "arlik is rapist"
You "not lore says that he isn't"
Me"but we saw that he is"
you "lore lore lore gameplay mechanic doesn't count"
me"what do you even know what gameplay and story is and that they are two different things?"
you"noooo gameplay don't count"
me"sigh"
Oh, don't even...!
YOU are trying to use "the lore could totally say that alrik is a nice guy but that won't make it true," to argue against the FACT that the lore DOES say abominations are rare. I am saying that the lore does NOT say anything about him being a nice guy so your entire attempt at using this hypothetical for your argument is invalid from the start.
I pointed example what are you doing story and events in da products showed us that abomnation aren't rare when you accusing me of using gameplay examples as i pointed that and then telling me that lore is right claming that abomnations are rare even if da products in practice it was shown otherwise.
So devs can tell us that morrigan is nice person but if game and others product fail in that and she is bi*** devs just failed and morrigan is bi*** even if some book claims otherwise.
Anf if devs tried paint abomnations as rare they failed that in practice and now only rectcon can reverse that.

Im not protemplar but you arguing with that everything we saw in games and other da products is wrong because somwhere or someone stated that abomnations are rare despite we can't pass few alleys without meeting one. Guess what is more important something that happened and we saw it or someone who claims that didn't happened despite we saw that happened?

Why, yes. Step just this way, please. We've a full DIY buffet of fried foods. Over here, we have your basic cheese appetizers: deep-fried mozzarella, deep-fried curds, deep-fried jalapenos stuffed with cheddar. On the next table there's deep-fried pork skins and deep-fried cocktail weiners, deep-fried tomatoes, deep-fried onions, deep-fried potatoes, and deep-fried mushrooms. For the entree selections we have deep-fried scallops, deep fried frog legs, deep-fried bologna, deep-fried catfish, deep-fried chicken, deep-fried meatballs. For dessert, tonight we have deep-fried candy bars, deep-fried Twinkies, and deep-fried pancakes, along with the always classic deep-fried ice cream.
Also available is our selection of deep-fried condiments, including deep-fried butter. For beverages, we have all the mass-market sodas available in deep-fried versions. Deep-fried beer and wine are available upon request.
