His son was a ****** poor mage. Not only couldn't he kill a few measly Darkspawn, he couldn't even brave a few Shades for the sake of his daugther.

How many circle mages can do that? He could just be a research mage for all you know.

So kinda like dagna?

No he did not.  He was taking about Shale.

His dialogue "i knew about barrier i had key for that..."

Wrong...Look at 7:50  http://www.youtube.c...R1V5N2ugo#t=471

Also, the vid shows him using magic.

Hee i don't think that you know what you are talking about 7:34

And I think you missed my comment that the word "key" seems in this context to refer to a spell rather than an item. (Do you just ignore inconvenient arguments? Is that your thing?)

I don't think that you know what means "ignore" because i responded he never casted spell so i think that unreliable argument is better therm for that.

How do you know Tavinter hasn't developed anything in the past 2000 years? We haven't been there after all. I tend to believe that Tavinter is well a bit too much like the sith empire. Every mage is so obsessed with their own power that they rarely if ever share their knowledge as the social system promotes constant struggle.

Sounds like capitalism.

Then it's accurate, since capitalism promotes selfish pursuits for power(capital) and the hoarding of knowledge along with stagnation, since anyone who takes the risks of promoting change is attacked on all sides by oppurtunists looking to demolish their competition.

At least my understand of american capitalism and it's relationship to technological innovation.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. He seems a wee bit really underwhealming for a mage with a golem and a desire demon in his basement.

You're right: "unreliable argument" is a very good way to describe your ignoring the fact that this key looks a lot more like a spell than a magical artifact. Or have you somehow both forgotten that we see him use it, and failed to notice most of the people in the conversation pointing this out to you?

Explain the stuff going on with his hands in 5:55. Added, there are barriers that need mages magic to work even with a key. EXAMLE: The lower rooms of the circle tower.

Well his hand on that was on barrier unless we have three hands

Capitalism thrives by sharing the fruits of knowledge, actually. If a Magister discovered a way to flat out make possessions impossible or extremely hard, he would make a killing selling it to mages outside of the power structure as well as foreign mages.

No he was not. Touching the barrier shows a ripple effect like water.  This was a masma swirl of magic from both his hands and body. Sorry, try again.

See game never even suggested that he is a mage well he may be because it was never mentioned that he isn't so devs can do that then i can accept that but we as well can speculate that leliana or any other character is mage.

The game never CONFIRMS beyond any doubt that he is a mage.  But it DOES strongly suggest that he is.

And no morrigan is **** why because she is act*** like one if you act like nice guy you are nice guy unless you are playing role as someone else she pass entire game acting as bi*** so it is no personal opinion only facts almost every character in game hated that for that.

Whether someone is a b*tch or not is a subjective opinion, not an objective fact.  I don't think she's a b*tch, so there you go.  Anyway, the point is that you cannot use a nonexistent something that the game COULD have said to refute something that it conclusively DOES state.  You keep bringing up hyopetheticals of "the game could say this," or "the game could say that!" like it's supposed to mean something, but it simply does not.  The game DOES, however, state flat out, in clear words, that abominations are rare.

What part of that aren't you getting?  I would accept you arguing that the lore is problematic because it contradicts what we see, but you're not doing that.  You're all but declaring that the lore saying that abomations are rare doesn't exist.

And once again i think that you don't know what gameplay is what i pointed was story and story and gameplay aren't that same so nope. You rly should know difference and we may continue conversation on reasonable level only if you will know what you are talking about.

I know very well what gamplay is, and what is meant by gameplay/story segregation, which is the problem here, and which you are disregarding as meaningless.  Beyond that, I think I'm done.  You're not even trying to have a reasonable discussion if you're just going to dismiss lore out of hand as meaningless to the game at all.

Sorry dude i don't want insult you but conversation don't have sense if you can't notice difference between story and gameplay.

Whatever.  If you didn't want to insult me, you simply would not insult me.  Not that I'm going to continue wasting time on someone who doesn't know the first thing about how to have a reasonable argument.

I can understand the Darkspawn but the shades? You blow on them a bit too hard and they'll go down; if you have the power to become a living flamethrower, I expect more of you.
So much for mage superiority.

1. Granted, do remember that I never said he was a strong mage. Just that he is one.
2. You want mage superiority? Talk to Anders.;)

For your warden, if you blow on them they go down. In lore they are stronger then a normal powered person.

oh my god i won't even comment that guy pull your hand on the front i doubt that they have animation to use key for the barrier and i doubt that they wanted spend their money for animation to small dlc when they use that same locations in bigger and even recently devs mentioned that they don't like do much animations because that costs so they will use only knife for everyone. -_-

Did someone mention southern fried food? Posted Image

Why, yes.  Step just this way, please.  We've a full DIY buffet of fried foods.  Over here, we have your basic cheese appetizers: deep-fried mozzarella, deep-fried curds, deep-fried jalapenos stuffed with cheddar.  On the next table there's deep-fried pork skins and deep-fried cocktail weiners, deep-fried tomatoes, deep-fried onions, deep-fried potatoes, and deep-fried mushrooms.  For the entree selections we have deep-fried scallops, deep fried frog legs, deep-fried bologna, deep-fried catfish, deep-fried chicken, deep-fried meatballs.  For dessert, tonight we have deep-fried candy bars, deep-fried Twinkies, and deep-fried pancakes, along with the always classic deep-fried ice cream.

Also available is our selection of deep-fried condiments, including deep-fried butter.  For beverages, we have all the mass-market sodas available in deep-fried versions.  Deep-fried beer and wine are available upon request.

*looks at all the fried wonders and passes out*

*waves deep-fried smelling salts under PMC65's nose*

BS. This is not a cut of any corners. He clearly used magic to deactivate the barrier. You just don't want to admit it.

The tevinter empire proves they are pretty powerful. They only lost because they were weakened by the first blight.
