Raijin. Do you realize that most of thedas lives in a state of feudalism, and not a modern liberal(in the non-united states way) society where individual rights and freedoms were valued over the good of the state? Where pretty much the guy with the bigger army and better arms was the one in charge of that country, because he could go in and depose the ruling elite and declare himself king, and that person would be king from that point on.

I think there's too many people not trying to get into the mindset of what it was like in thedas, with it's current level of technology and cultural progress, even though I don't like that word it fits here, and instead are trying to approach this as if thedas is a modern society with modern technology and our own societal and cultural movements.

Have you read Asunder yet? Modern liberal society is in the making.

Erm having read Asunder i must question where you gleaned such an insight.

It prove that when you treat people right they will treat you right. You give someone respect they will respect you. Look at the relationship between Rhys and Evangeline, and how Wynne sacrificed the essense of her life over a templar who was driven by what was right over what her duty.

So what this is life of course that your skills have impact whether you succeed but even if not no one will stop you when you want become merchant or blacksmith even if you will bad merchant you have still this possibility if you want be independent hunter you can still be him even if you are not bonded by society or any law but success depends on your skills that same in ferelden...

The problem, though, is getting the money in the first place. Which is more of a stumbling block than you give it credit for.

Are money problem well yes are wild animales for hunter are problem as well even now money have that same impact if you stand on your own well if not you will end working for someone and will do that your choice and if not but you don't have courage thats your choice as well if you want stand on your own you need take a risk but what what you will choose is up to you.

You vastly overestimate how easy someone without money who wants to get money has it today. And it was worse in the era Dragon Age is based on.

No, it proves that this can potentially happen. And I think JB has proven that the opposite is possible.

But now we are talking about not how life works only if society not allow you for example if you are farmer go to the city and become blacksmith in ferelden no probably in orlais yes because there they are property but ferelden may not be single case.

TBH it sounds more like the creation of 2 rival authoritarian regimes, one a military based one, the other a oligarchy, with the citizenry being used as expendable pawns and collateral damage.

This proves that you're a dishonorable snake tbh. Not someone worth respect as a poster. Especially since rather then face a challenge to your idea, you pretend it never happened and then have the gall to try and lecture more on your challenged point without defending it at all.

At the near end of the book.

The Circle is no more. Every circle mage is now an apostate R.O.A was delared on The Cicle of Magi in Dairsmuid, Rivain, and all of the mages there were killed. Lambert sent an offical and final letter to the Divine annulling the Nevarran Accord, departing both Seekers of truth and the templar order away from the Chantry after realizing her part in helping the mages.

How does making the country a wartorn state between 2 unaccountable factions make things closer to personal freedom of economic persuit and security?

Sounds more like Thomas Hobbes state of nature is being inacted in full force. Full blown anarchy where security is derived from the sword at ones hip, and not the guard at his back.

Oh that really truly hurts... calling me a dishonorable snake. I think I'm going to cry now.

Keep insulting me troll :) I don't give a rats ass if you don't respect me as a poster on this forum. I'm not going to lose any sleep over the thought.

Your attempts to reinforce the delusions of your stance being in some way, shape, or form the correct one, and that others who disagree with you are simply trolling or too ignorant of your intellectual correctness are amusing.

Do go on with your petty insults and baseless claims, I will continue to use evidence you provide to demonstrate your folly.

It's not entirely the poor person's choice; even in a freer society there are societal factors that block this. And lack of money and lack of the skills to obtain it (or even lack of the skills which raise you from subsistence to opulence) with are big ones. Would Kaitlyn or Bella have their businesses if if weren't for the Warden? These factors aren't enough to stop all social climbing, but it makes it more than just "I choose to be rich" vs. "None of that for me, thank you."

I'm not insulting you... you are insulting me by calling me a dishonorable snake. When I have ever been dishonest on this thread? Can you submit links indicating this accusation? If not then you're spitting out empy words that is meaningless. Perhabs you should step away from the keyboard and go lay down for while before returning back. You're emotions is far too strong to keep a civil discussion going.

He did. That part where you cut a post from another poster's argument against you, remember?

Here, and here, more specifically.

I think I know the method in which raijin handles his debates. He

Looks for breaks in a posters typing

Usually at the end of a long sentence of paragraph, and then only quotes that.

Or he quotes the beginning portion so that he has an easier time cutting off people he disagrees with.

So

Whatever you do

Don't hit

enter

Are they going without food in order to do this, or attempting to skimp on rent/taxes? Or were you under the impression that there's something they can do with a spare copper or two here and a silver there? There is probably something they can do with those savings, but it won't make them rich. Only less poor.

MisterJB proved to you that there are people that will make terrible things even if You treat them right (you did read the rest of his post, right?) Regardless of how mages should be treated, what you said (treat people right and they'll treat you right) is certainly a possibility, but it doesn't happen all the time in RL.
