Tis the season for me to promote a little package that I made 2 years ago and updated last year.  It is a simple to use package for making christmas (and new year) cards from within NwN. It comes complete with easy to follow instructions and is an excellent introduction to making modules (because there is no scripting and no storey to worry about) if you ever wanted try and build a module but were nervous about where to begin. So what do these cards look like? Well, here are three that can be regarded as my Christmas Cards to you.

You can get the package from either the old vault or the new vault.  It contains 219 bits for in game as well as enough documentation to enable its easy use. If anyone wants to see the little module that I made that features the above cards I have placed it into my Cast Offs project (yes I know projects are liable to disappear but this should only be a temporary thing anyway). As it is the newest thing on there, it is the bottom download on the files tab.

One final thought, if you make a card (or more than one) using this, how about posting it in here for the community please.

In the UK there is a tradition called an advent calendar. Now I don't know how well this is observed in the rest of the world, so I will explain it here. It is a special kind of calendar that has the numbers 1 to 25 printed onto closed windows on the calendar. Each day you open a new window to reveal a different picture every day. So I thought I would share such a calendar with the community utilizing images taken in the toolset using the above package. This will show you a small selection of the things contained in that package as well as being an advent calendar. As I am starting a little late (hey I only just thought of doing this a few hours ago (^_^)), I will put the first 5 days images in this message.

Don't forget to check back tomorrow for the next image and don't let this calendar put you off from posting any cards you want to share.

Thanks guys. BTW Each of the entries for the advent calendar part of this thread use the same background. It's just that I've scaled them to fit. You can get an impression of how big a placeable is by the size of the stars in the background. The bigger the stars, the smaller the placeable.

Oh and don't forget to come back here tomorrow for the next image as this goes all the way through to Christmas day. Also I would be thrilled to see a card constructed by someone other than me as it's always nice to see what other people do with the things you make.

Is everyone a Grinch? Is no one going to make and post a card (in here) using this package (link at top of thread). You've only got 15 days left.

@Sumthing I'm afraid that isn't showing and if I try to follow the link it db won't let me and I have to reload windows to be able to go to dropbox to log in. With this in mind I have made a minimal tutorial on how to use dropbox for displaying pictures on here. It is a pdf file and can be downloaded here (direct download link).
