@geekfest. Ttk tg harrier vs gi harrier is virtually the same. And if the tgi isn't a scrub and uses geth scanner then the gi have NO REAL ADVANTAGES.

Taking geth scanner removes other options from the gear slot, like grenade capacity to have a ton more stim packs.

Yes... it's surprising how absolutely appauling 80% of TGI PuGs and how borderline average 15% more are... I've only see a few TGIs I'd say were overly helpful in PuG (Gold and Platinum) and only a few of them I'd consider good players if they weren't using it...

Playing with friends is a different matter... or at least it would be if any one of my friends used a TGI.

It's definitely difficult on some maps assuming the TGI is truly good. On other maps not so much. Maps that limit the Harrier like Condor, Hazard Dagger are going to give some other kits the edge. AOE powerspammers are likely better on Gold and just LOLnuke the boss spawns as the TGI is running to it. The Merc of course will rule all kits on a map like Jade or Glacier easily and most nade plentiful maps. GI of course is less restrictive on weapons and has similar output and can carry armored compartments if it's a shameless scoreboarding contest.

Asus Monitor v-sync of 144fps.

144fps makes 60 look like a slide show... Kinda spoiled me in that regard.

Well Anno, I did play at 120 fps lately and I have to say... It's not *that* different. I mean you notice the AI being more accurate, and lots of animations ****ing up, but the bulk of it stays the same. It is definitely harder, but not that much. Just saying, I don't mean anything more or less than what I wrote.

Well let's see.

At 30fps you have 5-6 seconds of enemy LOS before they start lasering you.
At 60fps it is 3 seconds.
At 120fps it is 1.5 seconds.

At high frame rate shield regen is screwed up.

I guess it is not too different for a few characters though.

lul now I have to laugh at PC elitist master race myself for setting some ludicrous off the chart comparison standards.

120+ FPS is not what the game is meant to be judged on.

It's quite noticable that you have only 1.5 seconds before an enemy locks on to you, instead of 3-6 seconds on a 60-30 fps host.

I notice a lot of people claiming that the TGI can be played more aggressively than the GI due to stimpacks. It makes me think of all the pugs standing out in the open and chugging one stimpack after another. With RHA and proxy mine the GI can be played aggressively as well AND kill things faster.

It would be a close call b/w a well played TGI and a grenade user like the Assguard or Drell on a map like Goddess.

It is somewhat true you can do a few more aggressive things with TGI since you can use Stim Pack I-frames to tank some rocket right after a revive, or whatever. I guess that is aggressive in a way.

I think with "not being a scrub" he meant "not taking GC V". I disagree with him though, as the GI is 20% faster, and has 25% more accuracy and 15% more RoF.

He also said neverending offense in the post before that I assumed by that he meant lots of stim packs. Without grenade gear you don't get near as many of those.

Stimpacks ALONE allows a tgi to be hyperagressive producing never ending offense while always refreshing the killfeed

Doesn't matter though. Cain doesn't really think the hardest thing in the game is outscoring a TGI, he just wants to see us argue.

To be fair with the absence of descy, biggs, stysiaq and the re-rehabiliitation of dumdum there's not a whole lot of competition. It's Cain vs. Lakouk, we are a Reaper/Giant/Platinum duo away from an embarassment.
