Hello Bioware,

I am a Dragon Age fan in China. I have played DAO, DAOA and DA2. The DA series is my favourite franchise. Although DA games are not sold in Mainland of China, there are lots of fans here. We bought the game from Hongkong, Macau, Taiwan and other channels. However, the difficulty in reading English has weakened the gameplay experience. It is a pity that many of us have to prepare a dictionary while playing the games.

So dear Bioware, please let us have Dragon Age: Inquisition in Chinese. If simplified Chinese is too expensive, then traditional Chinese will be also great.

Awesome - not Chinese, nor capable of speaking Chinese - but I support this!

I know how frustrated I was with the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series - and how badly I wanted better English representation.

I want you to enjoy DA as much as I do.

-Signed

Considering DA isn't sold there, it might not get language support. Sucks though...

It is sold in Hongkong, Macau and Taiwan. So traditional Chinese will be OK:lol:

Are you asking for subs or total voiceover?

Seems like a more than reasonable request.

I don't know if this will work, but I do hope you get language support for Chinese. I know how constant breaking of flow and immersion can dampen a person's enthusiasm for a series.

I will buy a PS4 to play DAI. I will be happy to play a Chinese version.

In contrast, I can say that playing games and watching entertainment in english, pushed me to learn it.
So you could say that I earned a new language through and because of a similarly frustrating situation that I was in.

As long as DA:I keeps the English sub., it's fine for me. However, most Chinses sub. for english games sucks, It will always miss something in chinese. I always prefer playing in games in English, unless it's Chinese originated. (But I never play those...) Besides, I can always turn on English sub....Posted Image

I understand your feeling. Me and my countrymen almost never get games that have subs in our language( I encountered only one ). When I was little I couldn't understand some of the words the characters said and it damaged my experience.

So yes. I support this.

Well any language is more time consuming,i can imagine the thousand dialogs they have to write/voice act.

A sub should be doable. If they don't have time, maybe they can allow fans to mod the game so that it is subbed in different languages?

Adding an additional language cost money. I rather have the money be used for quality.

sharyu, You seem to know english quite well. Why do not want to play DA3 in English?

That doesn't help those Chinese fans that are not as fluent in English. Still a major language barrier.

They should at least have Chinese subs if they cannot manage an actual Chinese version.

I think allowing fans to mod the subtitles at the very least would be cheap and easy enough. Though, I'm not too familiar with modding myself. Is that doable?

Is this where I throw in my obligatory and patriotic "Murica!" post?

It's weird but I can't imagine my subs (or any media) in anything but English. I should probably feel sad about that. Ah well.
