Puzzles. Ugh.
Boob plates.
Skimpy female attires. Perhaps Morrigan used some warmig spell, but the Korkari Wilds are supposed to be cold. Also, are you going in combat dressed like that?
Cheesy underwear.
Ridiculous transgender characters in the brothel. Do them well or don't do them at all.

Agreed, that was my absolutely biggest problem with DAO, it even prevented me from buying certain abilities I otherwise really wanted, like the last of the AW abilities, which in essence ruins the appearance of your character in combat [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/angry.png[/smilie]Milan92 wrote...

Annoying visual effects for sustained abilities. Had to get rid of em with mods they irritated me so much.
YES THIS SO MUCH. I can't but praise DA 2 for not having those annoying visuals.
Playing on console meant that I could not even mod the game to get around it [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png[/smilie]

so, things I'd like see improved or changed in DAI are:
- better hairstyle, expecially the short ones, since we have back the elf as a playable race, I want to see the pointy ears of my tomboy female rogue. I had to whait for a new pc and download a lot of mods before I could have the character I wanted!!! and since I'm going to play DAI on PS4, well, I'd like to have the chance to have good things in the vanilla game too.
- more importance for the class abilities, be it knowlenge in magic and demons if the PC is a mage, pickpoket, stealth or any other abilities for rogue, or knowlenge about battle tactics or weapons for a warrior. all balanced around the abilities and the skill of the PC.
- more "tandem" mission, like the final battle in DAO or the suicide mission in ME2. I love know my companions are actually doing something when the PC and the party is slayng things.
- one of the few things I really liked in DA2 was the chance to let companions doing some things, or that they partecipate in conversations. in DAO there was too this, but it was quite limited.
- more realistic light armour for females. those in DAO where quite horrible...and covered very little to be a true armour...expecially if you look the male's countepart. some in DA2 wheren't bad, but I would love more armour like the Warden's light armour in the DLC lagacy.

Yeah. What I don't understand is that abilities like Scattershot and Chain Lightning deal massive damage to your party, but when you use them against the A.I., it's dramatically weaker.shepisavanguardgetoverit wrote...

spell-induced crashes - I thought I was the only one who experienced this lol
enemy archers who spam Scattershot - OMFG THIS!!!!!! Lost count of the number of times my mage got killed just cause i was chain stunned over and over again and had zero resistance against it. And the fact it still hits you even if your stealthed was lame too.
spending days in one area (Deep Roads)
having to manually match colors on your armor (something like SWTOR's Unify Colors could work)
friendly fire in magic
Other than that, well, there is A LOT that I hope never returns from DA 2. Unlike DA 2, Dragon Age: Origins was an awesome masterpiece.

^This again. Scattershot is only usefull if u get leliana to stealth first then its an aoe auto crit on every dude it hits but even then its nowhere near the damage of npc. And chain lightning is just plain USELESS. Does it even do anything lol.
Talk about big swing no ding lol.

If you continued the game past a certain point and didn't recruit Sten and Leliana in Lothering they're lost for good.

Fade and Deep Roads, just don't make them long and boring.
Everything else was fine.

I Liked the Fade.
The world seemed kinda poorly put together in Origins thats nothing unique or anything the 2nd one felt the same too in that way but the dlc for the 2nd one didnt...kinda weird.
Walking around felt weird and how the characters moved felt like they wernt meant to move at all.
they had like one cool looking armor set maybe in it.
The warden seemed like they could have been Anyone(not Just cause of the multiple origins) they didnt seem special to me at all, only thing that made them kinda cool is that you were playing as them.
more talking points would be cool,During a quest, they had a few shortish ones I liked that but I still want more.
companion interactions, they had Poor progression Im not to sure but I think you just need some friendship points to get them to think about stuff more. Could happen one big missions in or not at all.
party members actually notice what you say and not just assume you act a certain way cause of friendship. like you being stubborn, sarcastic, being a jerk or in love with them
Just cause the conversation was written one way, made it feel even more like your character didnt matter
And they made each race, class and gender act in certain ways, that annoyed me
I dont think id be surprised if they also made hair color matter to what game you get to play

- awkward giant pauldron plate armor. i know its like, a manly staple of fantasy games but those things could have their own orbit
- boob plates. yall bark about realism left and right until it gets to boob plates and then well we can accept these sternum crushing abominations of terrible design because i guess some people really dig hard metal boobs
- boob windows. occasionally it can work, like flemeth's leather outfit in da2 because hey, she's not even mortal or something, i guess she can get away with leaving a vital area exposed and there was actually some semblance of structure to that outfit, but the mage outfits in origins that looked completely like normal robes except for a big hole chopped through the middle to show the cleavage? lets never do that again

Combat
Those awkward barriers that were a pain in the butt to target and destroy that mages and archers would hide behind and pummel your butthole with attacks.
Basic armor = butt ugly armor
Its hard to say much else because I modded the game super hard to get rid of a lot of the annoying stuff.
