I haven't seen Elysium but I've heard it has a Mass Effect vibe.

Oblivion has a Mass Effect vibe in some scenes. The soundtrack is kind of similar as well. Speaking of Oblivion, I hope the next Mass Effect game has an exploration vehicle similar to the bubbleship. That thing was kind of cool.

I can't see it working. The budget would be astronomical, and even if it told its own original story, I'm not sure it would do it justice. It would be a hard sell for me

Almost Human on Fox got me thinking about the whole Synthetic/Organic issue.

Also the tech on that show has holographic interfaces.
