His direction of the Silk Specter was criticized as an objectificatoin of women. Then, Sucker Punch - a movie written and created enirely by Zack Snyder - was widely criticized for its misogynistic depiction of women. So we already know what that guy thinks of women. Yet Warner Brothers let him cast Wonder Woman, a most important female icon and role model. It's like, WTF?
I do not even understand why Warner Brothers would let that guy in charge of the fate of the entire DC franchises and movie universe, and let him decide who gets to be the first Wonder Woman on big screen. WTF was Warner Bros thinking? What did he do to earn that much confidence and trust from Warner Bros? He won the jackpot lottery with Warner Bros. Based on his underwhelming track record, I really do not think he has the ability to pull off multiple long-running, successful franchise movies.
