...You're seriously taking that literally? REALLY? <_<

Also "They need to die in a damn fire"  =/= "I will throw them in a fire"

I certainly wouldn't ruin my life over those pieces of ****.

I certainly wouldn't help them out a burning building either. I'd turn my ass around and walk the hell away.

Lol.

To be fair, not all the SS officers were bad. Just following orders.

IIRC, Ryzaki said she hopes that they would burn, not that she would necessarily do the burning herself. But I probably would.

Orson Scott Card and Westboro Baptist Church in a thread about transgender character inclusivity in a luxury product? Oh, BSN, you gloriously twisted beast.

What's this about Westboro Baptist Church?

Do they have transgenders there?

Wait, are you serious lol? They hate pretty much anything that isn't straight or white, or any religion other than their own.

Shouldn't you judge the fictional work on it's own merits instead of being a vindictive **** and trying to sabotauge what could be a legitimately good story or rendition for something the movies creators had nothing to do with.

No.

I don't care if Card's books cure cancer.

Being a good person is far more important than being a good writer, and it always will be.

What's wrong with your mind where you think this passive agressive crap against innocent people is okay, or worse, morally right?

Passive?

Card is not an 'innocent' by any stretch of the term. He is a bigot, and he seeks to oppress others.

And to answer your quesition, it's because card's expression of his beliefs hurt no one and damage no ones employment.

Wrong. Card hurts me by trying to create a toxic environment for homosexuals. Even if he didn't, he hurts a lot of people I care about deeply.

Your "expression" of your beliefs by holding a blatant attempt at financial sabotague directly impact hundreds of peoples livelyhood and other peoples careers, over something they had no say or control over.

Boo-****ing-hoo. They made the choice to work on Ender's Game when they didn't have to.

I'm free to see, or not see, any movie I damn well please for any reason I can conceive, or even for no reason at all. I'm not going to go see The Hobbit films, either, because I hate Tolkien's work and the first one ****ing sucked anyway. But I don't see you shedding a tear for my 'blatant attempt' at financially sabotaging Peter Jackson.

You have the moral logic of an SS officer in national socialist germany. I hope you can at least acknowledge that.

Says the guy who's telling me it would be wrong to hate SS officers.

1. I was pointing out the hypocricy in the statement. One of many, to be honest.
2. Not that I agree with them, but what makes your beliefs any better than theirs? You believe in equality, so you you can judge people as being worthy of death because they don't? Seems just as hypocritical to me.

1. Where's the hypocrisy in my statement? I NEVER called myself a beacon of justice. Hell I've always admitted I'm an assole and hypocritical. No one here is any beacon of justice or fairness and if they call themselves that there's a 99% chance they're lying out of that hole in their face.

Becasue I am talking about the hypocricy in Plantiff's statement. It's an exaggeration, and we all do it. This one a small one

2. I don't go to people's funerals and disturb grieving families like a low class piece of human trash. That's the difference. I don't spit on people's raw and recent grief to spread my own message. Also yeah equality I wouldn't give a damn if Westboro's people were gay, black, white, green if they did the crap they did I'd still feel they should burn. That's equality. I judge them on their ****ty actions and for being ****ty people.

There's no difference there. You're still using your beliefs to judge others as being worthy of a punishment for their beliefs. It's just as wrong and is in no way better.

Oh. That's horrible.

People here in Canada don't talk about them much. Well at least, not in the places I've been.

They also have a congregation of less then 40. Really they're about as relevent or impactful as the frozen dog turd I stepped in this afternoon. Don't know why there's this big "anti-protest" stuff that goes on with them, when letting them stand there with ther dumb brightly colored signs being ignored is a pretty much fitting reaction to this group of attention ****s.

Not that I want any of them to die mind you. I mean my god, there are children in that group. I'm not a complete souless monster that I'd cheer for child death/orphaning.

This thread is beyond hope.

*shrugs* In that case that's for Plantiff to argue.

Except I'm judging them on my own I don't need some absentee father figure to say my words for me. Also I'm not being human trash and doing it where it's not needed or necessary and just to be callous and cruel (I.E. at funerals).

Also you're saying me saying they need to burn in a fire is as bad as them going to a private funeral and screaming about god hating ****s to still grieving families? LOL that's rich.

I will say this. Even though there congregation is less than 40, they are probably one of the most visible religious groups in the media, outside of the major Chrisitian religions. Unfortunately, we give them all the attention that they desire. The children however, seem to be leaving, as evidenced by several that have separated. The children I don't wish to see suffer, but the old guy and some of the older members could croak tomorrow and the world would be a better place.

Well it probably wasn't convinicing to you considering your life wasn't on the line. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the SS officers. They are not without fault.

Just saying that it's a huge assumption to say ALL SS officers are immoral.

But that's another topic. Best get back to transgenders before someone closes this thread.

Apparently me saying they should all burn is as bad as them picketing a military funeral as well.

I wonder if this thread will be locked or completely nuked.
