As I was playing the Citadel DLC a while ago, I heard Shepard (or some other character) declaring: "The cult of Shepard ends here!"

Did the writers of the DLC use my BSN username as inspiration for the line, or is it just a spooky coincidence?

(Please be mindful that I had the username "The Cult Of Shepard" long before ME3 itself was released.)

Definitely, not a total coincidence whatsoever.

It could mean that that point in time inherently contains some sort of cosmic significance. Almost as if it were the temporal junction point for the entire space-time continuum. On the other hand, it could just be an amazing coincidence.

I also had a funny issue happen on my first play through as FemShep. I named her Lola and I was like "what the heck" when Vega called her Lola (nickname) during the one sequence...

Casey always says Mass Effect couldn't exist without the help of fan input. I guess he literally means it. :D

That is just great :D

The game should've given you the only neutral conversation option in the game right there.

I had a character named earthward in world of warcraft. They released a weapon called the earthwarden. They've also used various incarnations of the name in other aspects of the game.

They aren't referencing you, trust me.

The Cult of Jesus was likely the reasoning.

But your username might have sparked the initial idea to use it. Might.

Bio has put forum handles into their games as character names on occasion, but I don't think this is one of those times.

There for a while if felt like Obsidian was stealing my PC character names. My PC from KotOR was named Mira and then the character Mira showed up in KotOR II. So I created another character in KotOR named Shayla and then Obsidian named a character Shayla in Neverwinter Nights 2. lol

I wish they would name something after me.
