I just want to make sure I understand the content priority guidelines:
http://nwn2.wikia.co...t_Load_Priority
The way to read this web page is: the higher on the list, the higher the priority.
So override trumps anything in the campaign folder, and a HAK trumps anything in override. Correct?

That seems true in my experience, yes.

Okay, cool.
The trick here is getting all the proper changes merged into a spells.2da file, and then making sure I use a HAK so it can't be overridden.
I just about have Kaedrin's supported. I think

Sounds right to me too but I think that as far as content priority goes lots of fighting is very important and don't forget to throw in some romance and treasure for good luck.

Seems correct from my experience too. I work everything from the campaign, and only using RWS all in one for haks. I do this so that I have room to override stuff if needed, without need to alter a hak.

Hak then campaign then override.
It is my understanding that override only affect the module, not the campaign content nor anything in the .Hak

Maybe you're right. Thinking of it, I'm not certain about override vs campaign. Hak definitely takes the priority.

Override takes priority over campaign, but campaign takes priority over *other* user folders, like UI\\custom. For instance, if you put my UI mod in the UI\\custom folder, and you play the SoZ campaign, the UI files in the SoZ campaign will be used instead of the ones in the UI\\custom folder. But if you put the UI mod in the override folder, then the UI files in the override will be used instead of the ones in the campaign folder.

Good to know.
I just want to make sure that changes I make to 2DA files don't get overridden by other things. The way to ensure that is a HAK. And so that's what I am doing.
The trick now is merging 2DA files and editing them appropriately. In order to get Reeron's spell fixes included I have to merge his changes with Kaedrin's, otherwise one will override the other.
It looks like I'm going to end up with two HAK files. One with my changes + Reeron's, and another with my changes + Reeron's + Kaedrin. Depending on whether the player wants to use Kaedri's or not will dictate which one of the HAKs to use.
It's complicated, to be sure, but I don't really want to move forward without proper spell fixes, and I don't want to NOT support Kaedrin's.
