Does this game requiere that you are online to install it or can you install and play it offline like dragon age?

ME has only a disc check as DRM like DA. To download any DLC, you need the internet obviously.

If the protection system is the same as DAO then no, a connection wil not be required to install, however I'm guessing any potential DLC (special weapons, armor etc) might require some sort of (one-time) authorization.

Okay lets boil this down. Suppose I have no way of connecting to the internet, will I be able to install and play Mass Effect 2, because you had to have an internet connection to install the first Mass Effect!

Yeap you should be able to install and play, we have no information at the moment suggesting otherwise (quite the contrary really).

Yes. But you'll only be able to play ME2, no DLCs.

You can play ME2 you just can't get any DLC or use the Cerberus Network Card.
