I agree. Bioware speak so much about equality. Equality my ass. Why restrict character creator based on sex. Make like saints row, everyone can use everything.
I hadn't thought about that, but you're right. Why restrict hairstyles based on gender? I mean some of them will end up looking funny on the other gender(like the Anora or the Elthina) but most of the normal looking ones would look ok on anyone(ex: not the friar tuck or the pumpkin with bangs) and who cares if some people decide to go the silly route anyways?

Any way to make coarse hair?
I wish they would make hair of many different textures: fine, coarse, straight, curly(plus short curls as well) crimped or frizzy, etc...Right now the options are straight or slightly wavy.

Also, I'd actually like to not have a distinction between male and female hair this time, like Saints Row 3&4 already do (ok, those games might do it just for fun, but I think it's actually a great idea).

I ended up using Alistair's haircut most of the time so it would be great if they gave us another short yet non-gelled hairstyle.
I would have loved Kaidan's cut ha (I think it is gelled though... it has to be...)
Also, shaped stubbles would be a plus. (I doubt this will happen though)

I would use longer shaped hair if it looked like that...
That's exactly how men should wear longer hair.... too bad no video game ever has given this option besides Skyrim maybe.

Inspiration, yay! Now, I acknowledge that these are going to be seen as over-styled, over-modern and whatever else, but who cares? It's a game. A fantasy game in a fictional setting and time. So...you know...
I also acknowledge that hair isn't the top priority, but I'm also kind of tired of all my male characters and Alistair having the same hairstyle as each other (or a buzzcut in ME1&2, then Kaidan's in ME3), simply because it's the only decent one in the CC.
And please just straight up get rid of the aggressive combover...and the friar tuck. <_<

No. Yes. Yes. YES. YES. YES to both. Maybe. No. Hell no.

ME3 had great hairstyles for men. I actually have never retained the buzzcut in any of my ME3 playthroughs. But yes I'm glad we both agree that Kaidan's hairstyle was the best

Edit: well, about as nice as Nvidia will let it. It does some wonky things sometimes.

If you put a beard on a male PC, most of the female hair options from both DA games won't look silly.
That's why Thor looks so good with his flowing mane.

If it works like Sims, male and female models have different sized heads, so they would need to convert each hairstyle for the opposite sex. They probably didn't think they would get used enough to justify doing that.

One of the first things I added was hair texturing and color mods, and make up, along with numerous hairstyles. Bioware seriously needs to add someone to their staff with some cosmetology skills for 1) hair styles that are actually attractive (it would be nice to have more than 2-3) and 2) make up that doesn't look like they went to clown school prior to joining the Inquisition.
