I really, REALLY hope this hasn't been covered but I haven't sound any hits on Google for a few days now and I'm starting to feel like the only person with this problem. So, I just bought the Ultimate Edition on Steam and installed the toolset after registering.

Everything works fine, except... any doodads in the editor flicker constantly. This only happens when I drag the camera or left click. So pretty much constantly.
EDIT: Doodads being things like tress and fires. Mostly trees.

This never happened on my old computer when I used the discs. I'm not sure what's changed. I'm running a GeForce GTX 770 and an i7 4770k processor if that helps. That's the only difference between then and now. Is this problem fixable with some kind of messing around with my control panel or game options?

Help? Please.

My first thought would be a graphics driver issue. I'm running a 760 on 331.65 WHQL and not seeing any issues like you describe.

I thought so too. But according to my GeForce experience I'm up to date.

Yeah just tried the latest 331.93 Beta drivers and I'm still not seeing anything out of the ordinary.

Whenever you move the camera or left click you trigger any object animation, so trees waving in the breeze, FX (like fires) animating, etc. Aside from graphics card/driver issues, the next logical bottleneck would be CPU and RAM. Should be no issues with a Haswell i7, and presumably you have more RAM than the toolset could ever use, being 32bit. What OS you running? 7 or 8?

Windows 7. I have 16 GB of RAM.
And yes, whenever the objects animate it happens. Even if I enable the automatic refresh option to have them constantly animate.

I've tried launching in compatibility and even tried messing with some of my DA:O graphics just for the hell of it. I've disabled PhysX, I've checked settings in the toolset and nothing.

Windows 7 shouldn't matter though. As I said it worked like, two years ago just fine. Flawlessly in fact. Maybe I installed it wrong? I mean, it could be pathetically obvious. EDIT: And it doesn't happen in the game. That's also important. It's JUST the toolset that this happens.

Yeah I was thinking maybe it could be an 8 issue. I'm on 7 and don't experience the problem. Someone else I talked to said they've also experienced the same issue since upgrading to a new machine. Like you, on a rig that should be more than adequate hardware-wise. I'm scratching my head as to a cause/fix. The only thing I've got left is maybe trying to patch the toolset EXE to be Large Address Aware - http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php Seems unlikely but worth a shot.

No go. I know with old games like Thief I had to enable V-Sync to fix a lot of issues but I don't see that happening here.

I guess I'll just manage without using it. I appreciate the effort though, sincerely.
