it seems as everyone thiks that legion will be the final party member which could be true... but i think that lt party member slot that is blanked out is probably jus the slot for zaeed since the dl is getting released day one... thoughts????

Bioware has been saying for a while that we'll be getting 10 squadmates. I took that to mean we'd be getting 10 squadmates without the help of DLC to bump up the number. There's also a good amount of evidence at this point to point to Legion being a squadmate, though it isn't truly confirmed yet. Garrus hasn't been either, but he's like 99.9% certain for sure now. I'm argeeing with most others, that Zaeed is an extra 11th slot, and not the 10th slot that's been vacant for a while now.

On the Mass Effect 2 Soundtrack track listing, there are two characters other than the 9 squadmates that has their own track.



One is the Illusive Man, the other is Legion.



Considering the 10th party member probably has a track just like the rest of them, our 10th party member is either Legion or The Illusive Man. The latter is..let's just say "unlikely".

The press release did NOT make Zaeed sound like a squadmate but an extra character that will be involved in single mission. I'm guessing Legion, but I get the distinct feeling he will not be available until VERY late in the ME2 game. I would also guess he would be restricted from traveling with you to certain locations.

Yea, except for the fact that it said squad member. And that Cerberus hired him to work with Shepherd on a mission. COnsidering the game is a suicide MISSION. I can only wonder what MISSION Zaeed was hired for. What is he here for? A one off mission Iron Cheff IN SPAAAACEEE mission? I find that unlikely. They also mentioned he was developed along side the game. Now I don't know about you, but I don't think a single mission requires a character be developed alongside the whole game. Seems redundant.

Well, I was cautious (read: pessimistic) about Garrus and (happily) turned out to be wrong, so I'll happily be wrong about this, too, but I would remind folks Legion has never been confirmed (in fact, Evil Chris pretty much said he wasn't... although he didn't precisely say that, either); the "10th" achievement that refers to the Geth is more vaguely written than any other achievement so it could be for a different kind of achievement; and they might have to rework the UI for squad selection given Zaeed being downloadable but there only being 10 slots (although, I did see another UI that was more like DAO's selection screen, so maybe they did change it). Anyway... I hope it's Legion but I don't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed.

The achievment icon looks the same as the other squad icons, it is also worth the same amount of points.

Don't forget that.

In the Sci vs Fi documentary, one of the developers is talking about the end game/loyalty, and in the background there's a cutscene playing where Grunt and Shepard are carrying Legion over their shoulders, while Thane downs some husks.

I guess that's a serious hint that Legion makes himself noticed towards the end of the game.
