1. It's a malicious demon, how does that not register in your brain? When has a Demon ever been an ally or fought on the side to protect people? Well? The Inquisitor having a Spirit like Duty is understandable, but being infected by a Demon like Pride or Rage is not.

2. In Mass Effect 2, Sanctuary was not yet established on Horizon and there is no evidence to suggest that TIM had planned to support Lawson in establishing Horizon prior to Mass Effect 3, so no your point is irrelevant and I support Cerberus and its ideals of service to humanity established by TIM.

But again two different universes.
