I was wondering, having played thru DAO and all of it DLC's as well as DA: Awakening, which came first? Based upon the game graphics as well as the game mechanics, it appears that DA2 was born before the others.
Not meaning to be opinionated, but I have found that DAO and DA: Awakening to be far more superior in all aspects.
Truthfully, I am most disappointed with DA2.

Quite a few people disliked DA2 for various reasons. Personally, I prefer DA2 to DAO.

I think the general view is that DA2 was rushed. It is a more ambitious game, I think, and there are plenty of good ideas in it (wanting to focus on a personal story, seeing how a city evolves according to your choices over time, a more sophisticated approval system) but overall too many corners were cut getting the game to market to do it justice.
I've heard DA:O described as a cliched story told incredibly well, and DA2 as an innovative story told badly. I think that sums up my position.
Although, in its favour, I have found that it improves on replaying. There are a LOT of sub plots told simultaneously throughout the game and my first playthrough quickly descended into a confusing mess of chasing the plot markers with little idea of who I was supposed to be fighting and why. Further playthroughs do help there and it is more enjoyable to follow the stories through the acts.

My ol' lady would disagree with rushing being good:devil: And yes, it would certainly relate to "below the belt"caradoc2000 wrote...

I know, this is below the belt.
Egads, some people think, rushing is below the belt.
