 What do you guys think the likelihood of us getting the next ME trailer tomorrow are? The rumor mill is churning that we will. A month after the first pics are tweeted and almost a year since the game was announced. It would be high time if it's going to come out Q4 next year. Which is my hope. If so it could be the floodgate if the first info about the game. Will it happen? If so, what would you want to see?

Way too early for that, next year maybe but not likely though I am one of those people who feel they should take as much time as they feel they need.

And I really hope I am right.

It's unlikely, but I'm hoping for one.

I highly doubt it, from what I understand from some of the Dragon Age Inquisition conversations is that they were still in the planning and development stages of the game at the beginning of the fall.

Pretty much 0% of chance.
More likely they show something about DA:I

None. I want to be wrong. Maybe Bioware will show something but I doubt it will be a Mass Effect game.

No ME4, no FO4, no HL3/HLE3, and no reason to watch other than blind hope

It'll certainly be your best shot for a while. And probably not as outright impossible as those so far have made it--yeah, they're focusing on DA:I, but Bioware knows their base and we've already seen they're willing to tease as of N7 day--and apparently pretty well along in development, too, compared to where we thought. A teaser trailer--something short, vague, and unclear is not out of the question--enough, for example, to start a new subforum, if they announced the title. Enough to get the speculation machine going for those desperate for it. Any amount it would overshadow DA:I would be made up for by the number of people who start looking at Bioware again--ie, in theory it'd make more buzz about the studio, bringing DA:I into the attention of more people overall.

That said, "Best shot for a while" is still a mediocre shot at best. There has been some indication that something might be possible, but don't watch it for that alone. I'll have a casual eye on the tweet stream, but I'm not planning to watch.

Expect nothing, and you have the chance to be pleasantly surprised.

In case any of you are wondering, VGX just announced that there will be 3 or 4 world premieres that haven't been revealed yet. I'll tune in every now and then, maybe get a nice surprise.

I don't expect anything. Just hoping. Every rumor says the main event will be the ME rveal. I expect (if anything) an extremely brief vague teaser trailer. With a tentative release date. And maybe the first short synopsis. Here's to hoping

Pretty likely.

Not much beyond a teaser trailer and basic overview though.

Next year will be the more significant trailers, information, etc. After DA:I is out, the outright hype will begin. VGX just might be the beginning of it (the wider gaming 'public' awareness, instead of just fans), is all. (I don't really count the few vague interviews and the N7 day pics)

It certainly isn't unlikely... us veteran BSN members will remember the suprise of seeing the trailer for Mass Effect 3 appear less than 6 months after the launch of Mass Effect 2. I think we might get a cinematic trailer just like Mass Effect 3 did at the 2010 vgas.

It's good to be back!

I'm not expecting anything, so I would be pleasantly surprised if there was something.

As long as Citadel wins best DLC, I'll be happy.

Exactly. It's been several months since Citadel DLC. A teaser trailer (and maybe more) is something I'd never write off.

Deep details though? Nah, unless something very special is happening. :)

Also need to mention that Bioware Montreal is handeling the next ME, and their last DLC was Omega back in November 2012. I also remember that one of the devs asked a few months ago what'd we'd like to see in a reveal/teaser trailer.

As always, the hype train has started, and a few sites around the web say we should look out for a Mass Effect reveal tonight. Just search ''VGX Mass Effect''. Still rumors and speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.

Edmonton and Montreal work close enough together. I know for a fact that at least some in Montreal worked on Citadel.

Think of it more like:
ME3 --> Edmonton
From Ashes --> Edmonton
Extended Cut --> Edmonton
Leviathan --> Edmonton, maybe some Montreal help
Omega --> Montreal, maybe some Edmonton help
Citadel --> At least partially joint Montreal+Edmonton
ME4 --> Montreal, maybe Edmonton people moved over

True. What I wanted to say was that the window for them to have begun developpement on their next ME could have been as early as November 2012. While Edmonton-Montreal usually work together, a small portion of their team could have already started brainstorming some ideas, since I think most of the main stuff on Citadel, like writing, was done at Edmonton, with Montreal in a support role doing QA and a few art and coding stuff, like they usually have done for the past 3 years.

Yes, they were already working on ME4's script in 2012, as well as prototyping the engine and possible new mechanics.

I think chances are slim. I think it's a bit more likely we'll see the new IP, but I'm not putting my money on that either.

Well it just started. First world premiere was a Borderlands episode series with TellTale games. Still two or three left in the show though.
