Is it me or does it seem like 75% of the squadmates in ME 2 are biotics? Just seems abit odd. Personally I love biotics and playing one but when every other person seems to be a biotic it kind of makes it not as fun.

Tali: Tech
Mordin: Tech
Legion: Tech
Grunt: Soldier
And, of course, there are variations within each character. But it's not 75% biotic.

It does seem there is a lack of "variety" when it comes to the "classes" of your squadmates. Then again, so did ME1

I guess we need all the power we can get for this mission. Biotics seem to kick a lot more ass than previously.

Look at it this way.
Grunt is the only 100% soldier character. However, just like ME1, the squadmates don't fit into any one character, and tend to share elements other class.
Garrus will probably be an engineer mixed with soldier. Close to infiltrator, with a bit more focus on combat. Jacob and SuZe seem to have a vanguard feel to them. Thane seems to have element of an infiltrator in his playstyle. I don't think it's going to be perfect, but with ten squad members, it was always going to lean in certain direction.

Yeah, he is. Not confirmed officially, but given what we know about achievements and other things, it's a safe bet.

I suppose it seems like there are too many biotics due to the lack of soldiers. Though if the DLC character is a soldier, that will help. But really, only about half the squad are biotics, which is what it was in ME1.
