During my playthrough I hardened both Leliana and Alistair. I know I did and they've mentioned it throughout the game too. However after the epilouge(I chose Morrigan's ritual) Leliana would not let me accompany her on her future mission and mentioned going after Marjolaine(who I killed) and then it said how Alistair became a traveling king and not a dedicated one like he should if hardened. Did something I do cancel their handening or is it glitched? Can I just reload the final fight with the Archdemon or epilouge scene and it will fix itself? I do not want to replay the whole 55+ hours again and wish to have these outcomes for my characters, story, and future imports. Shale was also not present like he(or she?) should be

I'd try a reload from the archdemon fight fist to see if that fixes it. If you have any mods installed you may want to also uninstall them to see if they're conflicting. Other than that, I don't really have any idea what is happening.

Ok, thank you. I will try that, I figured that may help but I wanted to be sure perhaps some choices I've made cancelled it out. Alistair is ruling alone, he killed Loghain, is at an 80+ approval, Leliana is at a 100 approval but I am romancing Morrigan and did not engage in a relationship with both.

If Leliana says she's going after Marjolaine even if you killed her, then yes, that's definitely a bug, but I don't think it's a reflection on whether or not she is hardened.

As for Alistair being a 'travelling king', I'm not sure what you mean. What does the epilogue say specifically? I'm not really aware that a solo-king Alistair has different epilogue slides depending on whether or not he is hardened...

But in any case, even if your game is bugged (which, to be fair, wouldn't be a shock - there are plenty of bugs in there), don't despair. Lelianna and Alistair make only brief appearances in DA2 which are not influenced by whether they are hardened. And Bioware are releasing a programme called Dragon Age Keep in a couple of months, in which you can reset particular plot markers to customise your world-state going into DA:I. If Alistair and Lelianna's being hardened is at all important going forward (or even if it is not) then I'm sure you will be able to retroactively set this in the Keep. So that's something.

Ok thank you. And to clearify what I said; it states he travels the land in rule rather than stay in Denerim to rule. It actually even says it's his way of avoiding some of the politics. However I read this is the case if he is not hardened, and if he is he is more dedicated and spends his time in the castle, studying politics and embracing his role as king more. But perhaps you may be right and this occurs if he rules alone no matter if he is hardened or not and only has that outcome if his rules with Anora.

For Lelliana, if she's hardened, she'll be wearing leathers in the post-fight cutscene. Sometimes, even if she's hardened and Marjolaine is dead, she won't let the warden join her. If Lelliana is back in Chantry robes, she wasn't hardened.

I think the warden only gets the option to go with her (hardened or not) if he romanced her, even if they determined earlier in a convo that they would be traveling together. Whether or not you join her might also be contingent on your choice of destination after you collect your boon from Alistair/Anora.

If Marjolaine is dead: Leliana unhardened, unromanced. She is wearing nobles' finery and talks of her plans to go on a chantry expedition. If hardened, she is wearing studded leather armor, and talks of clearing out any leftover stragglers of Marjolaine's who may still be gunning for her.

If Marjolaine is alive, same garments as above only she heads off to Orlais to deal with her enemy/past alone. Been a long time since I left Marjolaine alive, so it may be she allows the warden to come along, I am unsure.

Alistair is supposed to turn into an okay king, solo or with Anora as long as he's been hardened, but unfortunately, unlike Leliana, you can't just look at him to see if that is so at the end. As long as you did BOTH dialogues to harden him, he should perform as a good king at the end (instead of running off leaving the country to Eamon--and/or the warden--to rule).

As Ferretinabun pointed out, the game post landsmeet is chock full of bugs/broken dialogues and messed up flags. I use mods to fix a lot of them, but there may be some that occasionally slip by. For the longest time until I installed ZDF, I got the "Connor still possessed to later be taken over" dialogue from Eamon at the end, though the card i got was the 'Connor goes to study at the circle, passes his harrowing and ends up in Tevinter to study". Even the one time I killed the boy Eamon still talked about how Connor was 'looking at him strangely'.

Alright that helps some, thank you. Leliana was in chantry robes. I replayed the entire Final Fight, with the same outcome again. I actually even checked my completed quests and it says I did their quests to get them hardened. I wasn't all that concerned with Leliana just the fact my work is not recognized, mainly I wanted Alistair to be the good king he is supposed to be with me hardening him. I am hoping it is just dialouge and epilouge glitch and perhaps future games will recognize the accomplishments, I'm not sure. And I did request a boon from Alistair asking for the Wardens to not be forgotten and build a monument. I also didn't romance Leliana but was at a 100 adore. Not being on PC and Xbox complicates me fixing it. Is there a tool to help me edit my import maybe? I tried looking for one but only found Gibbed's where I create one.

Not that I know of.  Once Dragon Age Keep is out, you can create your own world state, but I think that's for Inquisition. It's supposed to eliminate a lot of the bugs and issues they had with the first 2 games. We shall see.

My recommendation is just use your import to play, see what turns up in sequels, enjoy your game and not worry about what happened. Ultimately the only ending that matters, is the Warden defeated the Archdemon and saved Ferelden from the Blight. In Awakenings, the ruler you chose makes a short cameo, and Alistair will tell you he is dealing with things in the Bannorn, so he doesn't completely shirk his duties. In DA2, he gets a small cameo as king, and a couple of the other companions also turn up in cameos as well if they survive Origins.

I am unsure about Xbox, I've only had the game on PC, but that's what happens on the PC game. I understand both consoles have some interesting bugs the PC doesn't. Sounds like you might have encountered one.
