I usually avoid them, in part for this very reason. But sometimes I just wanna go U/U and not have to worry my game will crash at the worst possible time. Is there any trick to avoiding or minimizing these crashes?

edit: Also, restart your PS3 every few games, especially if you get Goddess or HGhost.

Solo or duo on non dlc maps. If you have to have a full team avoid biotic or tech heavy teams.

Pre-select Cerb, reapers, or geth in the lobby or through quick match.

This is literally the only thing that makes me jealous of PS3 players. An excuse to say "eff collectors, never again"Jeremiah12LGeek wrote...

Avoiding the Praetorians or nuking them is an option, but you can't control whether or not your teammates will keep provoking the crabs to attack and given the objective you'll likely just freeze on Wave 10. Besides, it's not only the Praetorians lasers that will cause a crash and can be a combination of different things from cluster grenades or abominations exploding.
Basically, there is no convenient way and even if you manage to make it through a Collectors game.. the first thing you'll need to do is reboot anyway.

Otherwise preset the enemy, because there is no way to fix memory leak without a serious patch from BioWare and they're not even acknowledging the problem because they "failed to recreate it" which is a load of bullshit.

Don't pug Collectors, unless you are host(you never know, if the pug host is a safe host) and set map to an original map or even unchanged original map. Goddess and Ghost Hazard are the worst on PS3. And if there are Crabs, then kill them fast or leave them as last. Safest way is just to nuke 3 double crabs, but takes away the fun.. And reboot every now and then.

Can you clarify what you mean by "a safe host"?
Sorry if that's a noob question, but I'm unaware what role the host has in these crashes.

My guess is that Dida's referring to a host who is aware of the issue and has taken steps to prevent it (rebooted recently).billpickles wrote...
