I seem to remember one of the placeable sets having a round house model in.I have not come across them yet. Does anyone know which set it is?

There are three round huts from RWS, but I don't think that's what you meant

I'm using both the RWS Mezzo round huts, and some re-textured variants of the RWS tower rooms for their interiors (using wood instead of stone textures). They make great halfling houses.
For internal windows I re-textured one of the fuglier paintings. Luckily it was one with a nice chunky 3D frame, rather than just a 2D polygon.

I like that window Idea, did you put a glow map onit or just leave it flat?

I use the RWS circular rooms and the Round Mezo House placeable in Jaberwocky for a swamp shack.

There's a straw floor placeable in the MOW set that would work well in that kind of buiding.

The window you see in some of my screenshots is one I made in the same way, with a painting (adding an entry, not replacing one). I made one variant with a glow map, and one without. At some point I'd like to go through all of the house placeables and just pull out their windows and doorways to be used separately as placeables.

I think I will try to do something similar. It sounds simple enough to do.
Some more interior window models would be good. the witcher set has some nice ones and RWS did some for the castle set. Some less formal ones would be good.

It was for a poorly lit halfling dwelling, so I didn't bother to include a glow map.

Nice.
I used a straw texture for the ceiling on my halfling huts, and a wall texture more like wattle-and-daub. It looks like you've constructed a doorway out of miscellaneous placeables much as I had to. Those black blocks used in cinematic scenes came in handy for darkening the doorway.
And putting up curtains to hide where the windows should be is cheating.

Yeah...there's a lot of cheating going on in Jabberwocky...although I think Obsidian used the term "smoke and mirrors". This interior was actually built before a lot of the CC that includes windows existed...Tchos placeables included. I've debated going back and adding proper windows in, now that I have them.
