And why not? If they make it an optional choice I don't see the problem. You may want a challenge with your games but some people prefer to just play the story without too much trouble.

Then Bioware can make a breakthrough here by beign the first game developer to make it an option to turn health regen on or off!

I don't know, making it available for say a casual difficulty and restricting it further the higher you go up on the difficulty options could give for a wider array of letting people pick what experiance they want. Kinda like New Vegas has that one hardcore RP mode. They might actually please everyone.Mr.House wrote...

If it works then I don't see how it wouldn't solve the problem. You can turn it off while others can turn it on. Everybody wins.
Or are you affraid that you will turn it on as well at some point and that it would hurt your pride as mr hardcore gamer?

Spirit Mages finally have a few spells that are more important than Revive. This is a good thing.
They better give us a Spirit Healer companion so I don't have to role one myself...<_<
Although, in the beginning at least, it looks like I am going to have to invest at least a point or two towards healing magic now.

Protip #2: Some games that do have health regen are harder than DA:I will likely ever be (Case in point: Witcher 2 on Dark)

I think Yahtzee Croshaw hit the nail on the mark here, as to alternative methods of healing. Giving health back for free simply by leaning against a wall or doing nothing is taking things away from the player. Playing a game is a challenge in it self, you have a goal and the a game doesn't offer that goal on a silver platter. If one is concerned about difficulty then you always have the option of turning it down to easy after all.
Exactly - easy. Why not give the people who play on easy then the health regen? I really don't see the problem you guys are making it out to be.
Also since when is Yahtzee speaking for the entire gaming community. Maybe some people don't mind it when a game is "taking some things away from the player".

Why not? Not everyone is as hardcore as you guys. They don't seek a challenge - some people just want to enjoy a game without too much hassle. Also what happend to the: More Options is always beter attitude? Or does that only apply when it comes to sexuality?

If you're playing on easy, the game will be easy, seeing as DAo and DA2 where not even that hard on nightmare I doubt easy is going to be that hard even without health regen.Milan92 wrote...
