They were cast as the typical bad guys that never had good intentions, and they
all wore the lamest colorful fur robes in DAO; not very fitting for a nation
that consists historically of the most powerful blood mages.
After reading The World of Thedas, I'm entirely fascinated
in Tevinter.
From their Magocracy political system, to their magic
dominated social classes where the elite must trace their ancestry to the
original Dreamers (Tevinter magisters who were said to communicate with the
Old Gods in the Fade), I find the Tevinter Imperium to be one of the most interesting
nations in Thedas.
You might imagine a magic ruled nation to consist of unpretentious
mages, only vying to increase their own power and not directing efforts in frivolous
pursuits, however the Tevinter have some badass apparel designs.

- Atlus Mage (Atlus are the highest magical class in Tevinter social structure,
these mages are descendants of the original Dreamers)

- "Magic rules the Imperium, and their clothing reflects this. Dark robes,
hoods, and light armor are commonplace in Tevinter. Some of it is practical,
allowing the movement necessary to cast spells while protecting from the odd
blade edge. Still, Tevinter nobles are not above the impractical, sharing some
of the Orlesian love for fabric volume, if not color." - The World of
Thedas: Volume 1

Thus I find the way they've been portrayed in past games unfortunate,
which brings me to the question asked in the topic title; Am I the only one hoping
to see more Tevinter in DAI? Whether that's interaction with Tevinter NPC's,
Tevinter style gear, or a Tevinter companion.
