Actually, they should do the opposite: make everything OP as ****.
That'd be better, and everyone would be happy.

I never understood this. If someone's playing well and helping the team play a clean game, why should it matter what character/build/weapon they use? BSN is really weird sometimes. I can understand why someone would complain about bad players, but anything else is completely irrational.
Back on topic, I believe I haven't got much to add, since we already had this conversation before Tyrant. But just remember, this is the internet and everyone complains about everything on the internet...

I have to admit, running random builds on gold is pretty fun. But I still find a lot of fun in clinical, efficient platinum games. Plus there's the added bonus of actually having the possibility of wiping, something that I have to try hard to do on gold. I've managed to find a nice balance between the two that just about keeps me interested. But I do get your point about how better players shouldn't use OP kits on gold. It does kind of sap the fun out of gold sometimes, especially if I'm trying to use a weak gun or learning a different kit.megabeast37215 wrote...

You should really give platinum more of a shot again. I agree that gold can become way too boring if people start using OP kits. When I see that my team is too OP for gold, I'm always the first person to suggest bumping the difficulty up to platinum. If you have four good players, even platinum can be relatively easy most of the time anyway, but it at least provides just enough challenge to be fun... at least for me...megabeast37215 wrote...

Because when good players play those kits on Gold, they kill chit so fast that there isn't my much for the other 3 players to do. The game becomes boring for the other 3. That's really how I feel about it, ditto with the Talon Merc Cain spam shenanigans. Those are platinum builds/kits and I don't want good players that I know making me sit on my hands for ~20 minutes while they kill everything. It's no fun being a male cheerleader.
Gold isn't for min/max in my opinion... It's for fun and experimentation. Platinum is for min/max. I can't tell you how many TGI/Harriers I kicked last night out of my Gold lobby.
I do play it is someone needs money... Or if I feel like being OP. I just have more fun running oddball builds like the Human Engineer with the Kishock... You know, builds specialized in mook killing instead of boss killing.

Can't say I don't agree with you Mega but at the same time people don't like it when the match is either taking too long or lose so there is that too, but I do understand what you mean. it's pretty lame just walking around the map hoping to run into something to kill.

lol, yes sir it's been too long. taking a bit of a brake from D3 at least until the new DLC comes out. When you were signing on to play ME3 this morning I was signing off had to get up early otherwise I would have joined you for a few matches my friend. If you're online later today I'd be happy to do a few matches with you. I hear good things about Magic 2013 think I'm going to check it out. lolol How is that Xbone treating you is it as good as they say? I'm thinking about getting one just not right now.megabeast37215 wrote...

I've got a pretty full day of yardwork ahead of me, but I'll be on late tonight. Magic is fun... Its a thinking man's game, steep learning curve, nice change of pace.
The Xboner is pretty cool. I have 4 games but I've only played Ryse and Dead Rising 3.. both of them are good. I wish I had more people to play with. Ryse is just gorgeous... Violently, brutally gorgeous.

You are going to extract. There is no fighting it. The game was won from the second you popped the disc in. Sure they can throw as much BS as they want. Get turrets, stun, stagger, sync kills. And they may get you once in a while. But the outcome is usually inevitable. So why not try to have some fun with it?
Also I see that we've gone from complaining about terrible pugs to OP teammates. Make up your minds people.

I like the terrible pugs... They actually need the credits/help, and they increase the extremely small odds of a mission fail.

If people are so reluctant to play with TGIs and AIUs, then they should play only with friends, or go into solo mode.
If people want to play with randoms, then they shouldn't complain. Sometimes even good players want to cheese their way through gold games.
