Why is it people always whine about powerful builds. ( not being sarcastic genuinely want to know people's thoughts on this. )

Oh great...the FPS argument. Get out of here PC mustard race.

The frames per second thing technically would only apply if you keep moving, or if the enemies are moving or the enemy is only being afforded brief glimpses of you. If you're standing relatively still in plain view then the AI hits pretty much the same regardless of frames.

It's also possible to dodge atlas rockets at frame rates higher than 100, as once your fps goes up higher than that the number of input frames for movement is high enough that the rocket's frame based tracking isn't fast enough to correct extreme angles.

Then there's smoothness, how fluid and responsive controls are and the enhanced perception of movement that higher fps provides.

EDIT: Forgot about grenades too. Grenades won't even deal damage half the time at high frame rates. Possibly something to do with the fuse timer being linked to frames...?

There are many benefits of playing high fps, with only a handful of drawbacks; the rubber banding and animation stuttering off-host being the only major ones I can think of.

Well, we should just be thankful that (unlike some games) the engine doesn't calculate process timers based on frame rate.... otherwise if you played at 120, the game would be playing 4x as fast....

Lol I don't get why console players try to defend consoles. Speaking as a console peasant, I can confidently say that consoles suck, they're complete and utter garbage (incidentally, I happened to find my xbox console sitting on top of a garbage can - coincidence? I think not), that's a fact I'm not afraid to admit.

There should be only one sensible reason for complaint - if you're seeing the same thing again and again frequently (ie reegar AIU), matches become a bit more repetitive than they could be, given the number of characters to choose from.

Ah, fair enough...I play mostly for the credits, if I don't make enough credits then I won't get to play with high level equipment as often as I'd like.

Now, lets consider a game where I'm playing with 3 decent players who are using TGI, AIU and geth trooper:

1) Pugs join lobby.
2) Pugs put on appropriate weapon mods and appropriate equipment.
3) Pugs kill things very fast and waves end in a couple of minutes.
4) Twenty minutes later, the game is over.
5) Profit$$$

So I just gained 150,000 credits and a ton of xp, I came in fourth place, but I sure as hell ain't complaining.

But I don't need credits or XP... I just wanna have fun. OP kits played by competent players ruins my fun.

For what consoles are supposed to do (accessible gaming for the masses), they are fantastic. They will never be able to compare to mid/high-end gaming PCs, however, and that's because they're not supposed to.

Everything is over powered. People on here scoff at builds and guns and then happily run around with GI's and Claymores etc. People on here as a rule are used to blowing away the competiton and being huge scorers and despite the constant cries of 'score doesn't mattter' it sure does matter if a person used to being 1 or 2 is suddenly 4 on the list.

You don't have 200+ of all level 3 equipment with the exception of a few things?

I only have 8-9 AR III rails, 60ish shotgun IIIs, and 15-20 Cyclonic IIIs... Everything else I have 230-255 of. What else do you need?

Ohh yeah... You buy recruit packs don't you ;)

Score is irrelevant in a co-op game. It depends on too many things other than skills to be an accurate depiciton of the player's performance. Scoring high in a pug is easy, and is surely not an indicator of skills whatsoever.

You're holding your opinion above others. If people enjoy playing "OP" kits, that's how they make the game fun, regardless of your opinion on the matter. The way you enjoy the game may be at the expense of someone else's enjoyment. Ultner is pointing out that you evidently don't care if anyone else is having fun as long as you are.
(Just observation, not my personal opinion, since apparently no one can tell the bloody difference)

It is possible for everyone to have fun at the same time... It just might notbe in the same lobby. It people wanna play super OP stuff, they can do so in a Platinum lobby, or in a lobby of like minded induviduals, or in a lobby of leechers that would happily fill his backpack AND stroke his epeen at the same time. Some people don't like challenge, or diversity... And I get that, and that's fine... I just choose not to play with (or respect) those people.

Yup, I'm mostly buying recruits. The only problem I have is a severe shortage of cyclonics, I have most of the other consumables in decent quantities, but I only have one cyclonic 4, no 3s. That's the only thing I'm looking for, and I find that I have to spend so much money to unlock enough cyclonic 4s to keep me going through one gaming session, which is why it's really frustrating when I dont get those wave 10 credits.

How does what other players are doing make it repetitive for you? In other words, if someone is playing a Reegar AIU every match, but you're switching up your class/build/kit, how does that make it repetitive for you

Did you mean to quote me? - tech/biotic explosion priming. Particularly snap freeze.

Yeah, my bad. But that seems like an extremely minor quibble; if I'm playing with different classes each time, but there's someone using the same primers/debuffs and all that, I don't see how that would make MY game experience repetitive in any substantial sense. I mean, sure, lots of frozen enemies each round, but my game experience is more influenced by what class I'm using, not by what other people are using. I guess I've never understood the fixation some players have with what weapons/classes/strategies OTHER people are using- the only time I have a problem with it is if the person doesn't know what they're doing and are being an impediment to successfully completing the game.

In your example, I am restricted from playing Biotic classes because the AIU will override all my combos with Snap Freeze, and the sound of Cryo explosions being detonated is physically painful.

I never understood this. If someone's playing well and helping the team play a clean game, why should it matter what character/build/weapon they use? BSN is really weird sometimes. I can understand why someone would complain about bad players, but anything else is completely irrational.

^^This some people would just whine about everything being overpowered in this game

Actually, the tech combo overriding the biotics is a valid complaint (I don't understand why they made it work that way) but still, on a gold/plat match there should be more than enough enemies to go around. As for the painful sound cryo explosions make... well, there is your volume control. I still tend to agree that the only REAL grounds for complaint is when someone is actually playing badly or being a liability.

HAHAHAHAHA I'm inclined to agree with that part of your comment. But it's still very satisfying to see those cryo explosions in the killfeed if I'm the person using snap freeze. I feel like a rebel when I use snap freeze on a biotic team, lol.

One of the best combos is snap freeze > siege pulse. So good.
