Why is it people always whine about powerful builds. ( not being sarcastic genuinely want to know people's thoughts on this. )

Course you do. It's called playing at 30 FPS;)

Don't PC players alter this setting all the time?

How would they make it to the Platinum Solo Hall of Fame otherwise?

Yeah, my bad. But that seems like an extremely minor quibble; if I'm playing with different classes each time, but there's someone using the same primers/debuffs and all that, I don't see how that would make MY game experience repetitive in any substantial sense. I mean, sure, lots of frozen enemies each round, but my game experience is more influenced by what class I'm using, not by what other people are using. I guess I've never understood the fixation some players have with what weapons/classes/strategies OTHER people are using- the only time I have a problem with it is if the person doesn't know what they're doing and are being an impediment to successfully completing the game.

It does have a bigger effect than that - it changes the whole dynamic of the team.

I like cryo explosions as much as the next person, but it can be a bit too much sometimes.

An argument is just two people with differing opinions trying to convince each other one is right.

I'd like to think that there's decent/pleasant human beings at the end of each monitor, even with the arguments/discussions.

Flamer, Disruptor ammo, Arc/Inferno nades and to some extent.. Chain Overload has the same effect.

Saying that other people have no effect whatsoever on someone elses gaming experience is pure drivel. It's not even attempting to be objective about the situation.

Everything is over powered. Beerfish I think you and I ought to play now. All the great rivals do it.

By the way, I rarely resort to using e-acronyms like "btw", especially in lower case.  It's tacky.

If I wanted free arguments I'd spend time with family and friends.  There's no arguing on these boards, only nerds pounding their e-chests spouting the same old "I'm right because I say so and you're wrong because I say so" drivel.

Nothing more to say to you but "im a cry baby and i can cry if i want to".

speaking of acronyms i use "FTFY" because im slow witted and like to knock other people for using acronyms too.

Good thing I didn't say they "have no effect whatseover", but that they are unable to make game experience substantially repetitive. If I play one round as the Demolisher and one round as an Adept, and there's an AIU laying snap freeze left and right, overall, my experience is hardly going to be repetitive; one round I'm running around tossing grenades, another I'm running around creating biotic explosions. Still yet to see any credible justification for the amount of complaining about other people's class/kit/whatever that goes on here and elsewhere.

OP kits make the game boring. Enemies should in general be challenging and bosses should be scary to make the game fun... GI can take down any Boss in a few seconds, Valkyrie/Reegar destroys a Banshee almost instanly, etc... how is that supposed to be fun?

From my perspective I just get bored of seeing the same kit over and over and over. 4/5 times I search U/U/P there's a Reegar wielding AIU or a Puggernaut.

Simply put I like diversity, I enjoy working with different kinds of kits, seeing different combo's. Probably because I like trying new things myself.

I think of it as a bit of a chore when I have to sit through AIU/GI/TGI/Puggernaut combo's, and brighten up a bit when I see someone rocking a Drell kit on Platinum, or an aggressive Volus who knows what he/she is doing.

Doesn't really come down to a score thing (Scoring is so relative it's junk in this game anyways.) For instance I know when I've done a good job on my Paladin, and when I've tanked it badly. my score however, doesn't always reflect that. I might get 275k and feel like a tool, or just break 100k but know the team would've lost it without me. Just because I can snapcheese my way up the scoreboard doesn't make me better, the fact that I'm rolling that banshee around on a dime letting my three teammates light her up sure as hell does.

There's also the desire I have to work as a team. AIU's, GI's, TGI's... the kits themselves attract a certain type of player mentality, namely scorew'hores. Not saying everyone who picks up one of those kits is, but they do possess a sort of... gravity, shall we say, to that mindframe. It's a stereotype, but of course stereotypes exist for a reason.

To put it a different way, when I see a Drellguard keeping pace in a platinum I cheer him on and will make damn sure to try and revive him if he goes down.

If I see an AIU topping score on the other side of the map, I yawn.

I played 4 games earlier and there were these two dumb pugs.. one played a TGI Harrier and the other played a Juggy with a spitfire, 4 games in a row. To their credit, they did use rockets/gels and equipment, but the games were quite.. repetitive.

Yeah...

could be worse, you could have gotten 2 pugs that layed around dead the entire game and did nothing when they were alive.

BSN is funny that way, complain when they get bad players then turn around and complain when they get decent to good players.

just goes to show its impossible to make everyone happy.

also, the entire game is repetetive, press powers 1 through 3 and shoot inbetween and use consumables when needed.

when you find yourself bored then perhaps its time to move on or hand pick your teammates so you get what you want.

i think it is because when you play a game a lot and encounter a lot of people always playing the same OP builds it gets boring.

this is a pretty good answer. emphasis on the "always" and "same".

This is why I've decided to always play either the GE with CSMG or the Cryo Soldier with Falcon and AP sidearm.

Don't see those very much, so I'm doing m'part!
