As movement utility perhaps. Just tried a sniper build for the first time on her last night, did alright, although the guy throwing arc grenades at me for no reason sort of reminded me why I hate snipers in MP. =/ (Wumb wumb wumb *miss* Damnit.)

Unless you have a high-level Cyclonic and use it as a panic button. Even then, only three points is questionable

Depends on the difficulty, for gold and plat three ranks lacks both the high damage and shield drain abilities the power is meant to provide,

No.. For that second of vulnerability the damage needs to be significant

I think I'd rather have the ability to teleport across the map and through walls under a cloak than not.. even if it does piddly damage. But I rarely ever use the Shadow.. I just found her mobility cool despite her boring playstyles.

Well if you can only afford 3 ranks, why do you need max fitness? No point in the sword evos if you're only going to ss for utility. The class already has cloak and +20% speed at fitness rank 5, so there's not much point in speccing ss at all solely for movement.

This. Shadow strike takes too long for my liking, so I ise it mainly to relocate, get out of potentially bad situations, and to refill my shields.

Yes, for sheer utility. There are so many ways it can save you - or a teammate - in a pinch.

The Fire Sword can still deal decent damage to Armor while in cloak to Banshees, Dragoons and Geth Pyros especially, even without melee equipment or fitness bonuses.

Any charge weapon can be combined with Tactical Cloak since charging your shot breaks cloak whereas releasing the shot doesn't. You can still pull off a cloaked melee.

This is why I use the Graal on my Melee EDI. The same can be done with my N7 Shadow since she carrys 2 chargeable weapons.
