It looks too much like DA2, so much so I'm kinda on the fence about buying it.

In what way is it like DA2?  The gameplay is almost as slow as a snail.

Reserving judgement. Not keen on all the exploration stuff. Combat seems like an incremental improvement in some areas, but way too early to say much.

The aesthetics seem pleasing enough aside from some combat animations.

Overall my position is my current default for Bioware games - buy on release if there's no significant Day 1 DLC, otherwise wait until it's about £20.

How I feel about it?

I feel like Inquisition is shaping into what Origins should have been.

The announcement of playable races has made me mildly interested, but other than that I can't say I'm impressed/excited yet.

I'll keep an eye on it, and likely will buy it, but only after the price has dropped. I think I will still be busy drooling over The Witcher 3 when DA3 comes out.

I'm hype. That's not without reservations of course, I am a tad disappointed to see and hear how several of the DA2 features I liked are being removed or otherwise dialed down. At the same time, it's also keeping lots that I liked and fixing problems I had with DA2 as well.

More than anything I feel like BioWare took a step back toward Origins and then continued to walk off in a completely new direction after that. And I'm very curious to see what they're doing with that. Especially excited about the lack of health regeneration and limited level scaling. Oh, and Qunquisitors, of course! =D

I'm so excited! I'll be able to play as a dwarf and as an elf again, Morrigan will be there, Dagna will be there, Varric looks hawt... There's still a lot to find out that could change this but so far I'm very impressed and think I'll buy DAI and love it to bits.

I look forward to it. I look forward to it alot. I will definitely play it. If I could pre-order right now, I probably would.
There are some things fram what I've seen that I'm a little bit worried about, but I do think that overall it will be a good game.

Really looking forward to it. Despite all the hate on DA2, after playing it again about a year after finishing it I actually really got loved it and found the combat was better than DA:O. You just need to look past the repeated environments and it gets better.

I seems they have a blend of DA2 and DAO combat which is even better, I just hope we get to interact with out companions with even more depth and that we aren't put through a 100% linear story like DA2, with no real choice.

I feel hopeful this will be the next great game from bioware I've been waiting for since ME2.

I am on the fence right now. I do not want the focus on exploring they keep presenting and no level scaling properly means forced backtracking.

I never liked Cassandra in da2, but always expected her as a companion, but I am really dissapointed with Varric coming back. So that means two companions I am already negatives towards, which is not a good start.

The option of leading and forming an organisation is interesting, but it has such a great potential of simply being a source of dissapointment and frustation so I don't know how to feel about that. But if it work, it could be great.

And I can play as a female qunari... I really want to play that.

So I am on the fence. The deciding point being how they handle the warden and Hawke.

Every time I read some one saying never likeing Cassandra in da2,  my head almost explodes how She was only in the game during  few short scenes and I do not think she was in the game enough to hate or even to like =]

I'm pretty friggin' excited about it myself.

I can play a qunari and we have a high level of customization again. The mage spells look even more bombastic than in DA2. Tactical view is back. The combat's speed is a nice middle ground between DAO and DA2. There's a lot to explore, and the visuals are quite nice.

Edit: Oh, and big scary dragons!

I'm still on the fence, for me the games have been somewhat downhill since origins, coincidentally about the same time EA bought BW... There are some things that I think look interesting, I like the idea of a more open world and I really hope they make full use of it, secrets, sidequests etc, not just having a big open area to move about. The combat, I'm on the fence about still, DA2 felt like mindless button mashing with very little strategy, there really hasn't been much combat gameplay footage yet so it's hard to tell how much any type of strategies will play a role in combat. I'd like to see more about the choices you can make and how much real impact they will have. Overall, I'm still trying to be optimistic, but after the last few games I think that I'll have to rent it first before I decide to buy it, too many disappointments from running out and getting it day one.

I'm indifferent.
After the disaster that DA2 was I am not really all that excited by default and the game has shown me nothing that really made me want to play it. It's got pretty graphics (with wacky design choices) and an extremely predictable and worn out story. The gameplay looks enjoyable enough, but that's always a topic that requires some more insight than only the few scripted parts the developers have shown so far.

We'll see I guess.

That must be one heck of a predictable story if you're already calling it predictable when there's been basically nothing revealed about the story.

She's proven to be somewhat popular on here based on her short appearance in DA2 so it's not too surprising some people have went the opposite way with their opinions about her.

Interested and curious.
Some big concerns though, mostly about excessive "fan service" and story.

The 30min PAX videos do show some combat and strategies if you haven't seen them.

COMPLETE AND TOTAL PESSIMISM > BRACING SELF FOR INCOMING TRAIN WRECK > CYNICALLY SPECULATING WHAT THE DA:I EQUIVALENT OF INDOCTRINATION THEORY WILL BE

:P

Curious but cautious more than anything right now. Can't really call myself optimistic or pessimistic as of yet. Mainly just waiting for more information.

I'll probably end up getting the damn game at some point regardless. Unless the demo is hopelessly unimpressive like DA2's was and the forum feedback is a total mess. Assuming that is not the case, the main question is not whether or not I will buy it, but when. If the demo is strong and the detractors mostly seem like the standard ******-and-moan-cause-it-doesn't-reach-my-idiotic-standard types, I'll probably get it new within the first couple weeks of release. If there is considerable feedback saying the game is weak, I may wait a bit for a price drop or used.

I'm excited. The combat looks like they took the best of DA:O and DA2 and put it together, as well as pushing it to the next level with innovations like destructible set pieces that you can use to your advantage, as well as new spells like ice walls that provide new strategic opportunites.

Then there's the world, which looks fantastic based on what we've seen so far, and promises the opportunity to actually explore the Dragon Age universe. The last 2 game's levels have been very much on-rails by comparison, and it's nice to see that trend being broken.

And lastly there's different playable races, visual customization for weapons and armor, real crafting, and a promising storyline and character cast.

And Cassandra breaks down a keep's door with her shield. How could this game not be awesome? :)

Other than Destiny, there aren't a lot of next gen games I'm at all interested in so far. Though it's cross gen, DA:I is one of them. I've the feeling the next gen version of DA:I will have content the last gen version lacks.

I'll be honest: I'm usually pretty optimistic about hack-'n-slash RPGs unless something substantial lifts a red flag, since I enjoy that genre as much as I do. DA2, while flawed, certainly wasn't enough of a deterrent; if it had played out like Two Worlds 2 or Gothic 4 (or, on a more "arguable" level, Fable 3), then I'd have room for concern in the way this forum's hyperbole over it has manifested.

Inquisition definitely looks promising.

While I'm not convinced that any of the BW artists have learned how to properly draw hands, and body proportions, I'd say that I'm also in the 'cautiously optimistic' category.
