Hey folks, newbie here wanting to share with you a project I've sunk a lot of my time into, and something I think you'd appreciate. I call it the Mass Effect Assignment Guide.

What is it? Well, initially I wrote it for the original Mass Effect, to help guide me through the mountain of Assignments and UNC worlds in the game, particularly on the Citadel. But over time it grew into something much, much larger.

For Mass Effect 1, I only covered Assignments and the UNC worlds, as well as some of the less obvious Paragon and Renegade choices. I also covered Bring down the Sky and Pinnacle Station, despite not owning the latter due to having the PS3 version of the game. The Morality Worlds and Clusters unlocked after completing certain Missions are covered as well, so that nothing is missed.

In Mass Effect 2, things had to change a bit. Items and Credits were now a limited commodity, so all oppurtunities to find them were listed. Fuel for the Normandy was also limited and costed Credits, so clusters were organized according to the earliest point in time you could access all systems in a cluster (this is why Overlord is listed near the end rather than right after the Horizon). Mass Effect 3 was very similar to the second game in its coverage, but like with Mass Effect 1 and 2, I included all the DLC for it.

Across all three games are suggestions as to how to play Paragon, or to run Renegade (which is defined by killing as many people as possible and getting the lowest EMS, rather than just all Renegade Interrupts and Intimidate oppurtunities). It also is ordered to help the player tease out the most unique dialogue in the game, such as bringing Garrus and Grunt along on Mordin's Loyalty Mission on Omega. And lastly, the Suicide Mission has a listing as to how to make sure everyone in the squad will be dead at the start of Mass Effect 3.

It's not fully complete, I'm going to do one final playthrough of the Trilogy to make sure everything is as good as it could be. But it's 99% done, and I wanted to share it with you guys to see what you think. I'm sure there's at least one person who would find it helpful. Huge thanks goes to the Mass Effect Wiki; almost all of the information here was gained from reading their articles, and without it this guide simply would not have been feaseable for me to even attempt. Link is below.

Handy indeed! Helps having maps in an offline form, and consolidated. Will use for next me1 play through for sure!

Did want to point out that noveria could use quite a bit more infoirmation. Noveria more than any other stage, offers a multitude of paths that can be taken with dialogue options in port hanshen and order they're done in. Because of the changing consequences (or consequence free) for actions in hanshen; and paths for exp that a paragon can take without getting renegade points during peak 15. Think there could be a bit more of a in depth explanation.

Impressively clean looking guide. Thanks for this :D

P.S. think this thread should be moved to a spoiler allowed area, for more worthwhile feedback. Also being a strategy guide tends to imply spoilers by default.

Thanks for the response! I put the thread here because I honestly had no idea where to put it; this seemed like the best one considering the content it covers.

I wrote the Noveria section like I did most of the others; to be as efficiently-productive as possible with Morality Points, Credits and XP. How would you expand the Noveria section? Certainly open to feedback!

At peak 15, if you travel the 'paragon route' toward the boss fight. The last door is at a T junction. If you pass the entrance into the boss fight, you'll end up circling around to the hackdoor entrance. This starts a fight with just about everyone, but your not labeled a murdering phyco, or register any ill effects.
You can kill everyone and everything without taking of renagade points, harvest the exp. Consequence free. And i might add, starting from a defensible position, rather than surrounded. Just be sure to unload inventory at kiosk before doing this..

At port, tell the krogen you'll keep the item for some more exp. Do the synthetic insights mission via Gianni/lorki. Before finalising events with administrator AND before going to the garage. Rat out the shopkeeper for smuggling to the administrator, Jedi mind trick the administrator into letting you keep the item. Then immediately have Gianni finish events with the administrator, so he won't have time to deal with the smuggling, . sell the smuggled item to the merchant, should you so desire, or keep it. (Its a randomly generated mod, so no big deal either way). If you sell it to the merchant, you'll get more credits that by just doing the deed. Plus you get rewarded by the administrator before hand.

I prefer this way of going about noveria, for paragon route. Won't help any shady people, and let's me continue to use the shop. I find I need noveria shop for vendor reload trick, to obtain had to get armours.

Now, it's not the most efficient way to traverse noveria by any means, in terms of time(sorry, forgot that was part of your goal). It does require a fair bit of walking from one end of the port, to the other arse end...a few times.

Huh, you know I'm pretty sure I accommodated for your approach for the Smuggling Assignment, just a tad earlier. It is slightly different, so I've adjusted the walkthrough for that section to accommodate it. I've also altered the Rift Station section with your new info in mind. Thanks for the help!

EDIT: the .pdf has been updated as well, so you'll be able to read over it and see if it all works.

Come into a hiccup. In ME1, there's a string of Cerberus-related Assignments linked to Kahoku and Feros, as well as the one at the end of the rachni UNC Missions after completing Noveria. However in my guide I've got the Noveria set last, which causes problems because the pop-ups assume you've just found out about them. My question is this: should I rearrange the ordering so that the Noveria set comes first, followed by the Kahoku and Feros sets, or should I keep it as it is?

Note: the dialogue by squad-mates at the end of the Noveria set is always the opposite of what is true; "who are Cerberus" if I've met them before, and "I've had enough of these guys" if I haven't. This seems unavoidable so that variable is irrelevant here.

Hi everyone! I've just finished a big revision on the Assignment Guide, and I now consider it complete!

I've added a title page and an introduction to better explain what the guide is and what information it provides. The Contents have also been given in-document Hyperlinks so that you can quickly jump to a section of the document. I've also included the Suicide Mission Flowchart that user Maelon created, and credited him and the creators of the Find the Keepers map and UNC maps. In addition I've moved the Leviathan and Citadel DLC guides to after Rannoch so that the most unique dialogue can be heard for those who want Tali and Miranda's unique dialogue, and/or may be in a romance with them. Lastly I changed the "effects of the Crucible depending on EMS and Ending DLC" from a list to a more easy to read graph. There are also a bunch of more minor revisions made as well!

It'd be great if you guys could go over the guide and give me feedback!
