What I'm wondering is why do so many of you still play? What is it that you enjoy about the game that has kept you here so long? Is it collecting all the content? The challenge of the missions?

It's not a thing you can compreend AntlPop...xD

Speaking seriously: because it's still good and funny to play even after almost 2 years.

I dont play it as much anymore....ive been on both me3 mp and mostly cod ghosts lately. The only real reason i play both of those is because of friends. Im starting to get a bit unmotivated to play me3 mp lately though. But i have been having a urge to play another full playthrough of Mass effect single player (me1-me3)

People who play are fans like me.

It's fun talking to people about ME, and their own experience with the story. Of course that's only possible on lower difficulties, since teamwork really comes into play with gold and silver.

One time though, I met a player who has never played the previous games, just Multiplayer since the game's release. His N7 rating was absolutely insane.

I am still entertained by the dialogue of the various characters during a match .
My favs are the Krogans . The Shadows revive comment "Your not finished yet'" ! reminds me of a an insatiable Czech girl I went out with that was 15 years younger and very energetic...

Similarly, the Batarian's "Stop struggling!" reminds me of my prom night.

1. Because fun.
2. Because it's still tied to Galactic Readiness for some baffling reason (seriously, just stop it from decaying once you hit a certain point).
3. Because I still want to find a use for the Krogan Shaman Adept.

Because it has a deathgrip on me.

No matter how often I break away and enjoy the lurid company of other games, I always keep coming back to ME3 MP... to home...

Two reasons

1. Fun!

I'll quote another thread as I state the answer to the OP's question there...

...then you think of ME3MP, like that ex girlfriend you can't stop drunk-dialing. Why does she keep saying yes all the time? Doesn't she have any self esteem?

That about sums up my relationship with ME3MP.

No, it is more like being married for 10+ years. Your wife makes a overly detailed shopping list for you, but then you come back with the wrong thing from the store. This is followed by Rage.

Nah, first comes the bickering. Yes, bickering... the glue that keeps 99% of all the couples that I know together.

...then the rage. :pinched:

It's still fun...and having a high ranking in any aspect of any game feels good (even if I still know I'm a scrub)

None of the other games I play have Turians.

Also, the rich lore, the variety of weapons and character kits, and the gameplay is entertaining, despite the fact that it does feel like a bit of a beta at times.

There are still a few challanges I have not completed -- I have the BOTB since last Xmass, but there are still some silver challanges like 200 waves of various characters that I have not completed yet. So I'm still working on those 'cause I'm a completionist. And I also have some URs to max.

Plus fun!

E.g. last night I got into a lobby with 2 noobs sporting low level common guns and talking about trying Gold for first time. It felt good to carry them through Vancouver Geth game using a salarian engineer with an arc pistol. First 5 waves I could afford to babysit them and pick them up each time they went down, but in the last few waves things started to get intense with mutiple primes around, so I had to clutch the waves -- I hope they learned from the spectator view some tricks though. They were cheering and warning me of hunters behind me and such, so they did not seem bored at least.
