@Hazegurl: Which would be the situation England's greatest monarch found herself in at the beginning.... hardly a failure at her rule, and she left her country in a Golden Age.

I likened Anora to Elizabeth I - which largely led me to choosing her.

@Lord Raijin:  Oooooh, he's an ugly drunk in the picture!

Some people don't believe Alistair's story. Some think that Alistair is a horrible leader. Most realise that you don't have to kill Alistair at the Landsmeet.

As to the Teryn of Gwaren thing, it's never mentioned again, and I don't think that there are any plot flags for it, though I may be mistaken.

Filling in the gaps is what I do... most of the times

@simfamSP: in the case the Warden is a Cousland Loghain knows, since Cailan told him his intentions towards Howe. Loghain told the Warden that Cailand told him about the promise the king made.

But did he specifically state "Howe betrayed the Couslands?"

Man, I shouldn't have jumped in with this much recollection of the narrative. Must be my Loghain love xD

You know you can't resist your Hardened King Alistair. Stop trying to hide it because you're severely failing on so many levels :)

Here's more Hardened Alistair for your pleasure.

There is a special place downstairs for the Bioware people that prevented me from romancing Alistair. <_<

@eluvianix: I KNEW it... BLOOD MAGE.

@Lord Raijin: I don't know about the mimbo in the front, but the tall broad shouldered gentleman in the back caught my eye.

No, he didn't . He stated that Cailan would mantain his promise. The promise was to hung Howe. I doubt that Loghain wouldn't  asked Cailan why, or that Cailan didn't state what Howe did. It'd be a bit far-fetched.
Loghain is one of my favourite characters too, but it can't be denied that, at least in a HN origin, he knew what Howe did and still worked with him.

I'm not calling Anora a failure just stating what her situation was. As for her becoming a great ruler...it depends on if you like what the epilogue slides say. I like that she builds a University but dislike that she maintains the status quo with the poorer citizens of her country (elves and human alike)

@Hazegurl: I know, I'm sorry - someone else called her a failure.

Give the girl time - she needs more power before she starts changing society.

What do you think she is - a short sighted mage who thinks they're going to win a rebellion on "moral authority"?

Only if you tag along, buddy. If I should suffer, I'd like someone that can suffer with me:devil:.
If there'll not be multiple endings to the war (I want them), they have to think carefull on how to resolve the war.
Regardless, I doubt that the war will end in Inquisition. And in the next game people in southern Thedas might be too busy in repelling horned giants.
Seriously though, I hope that they'll think a lot on how ending the war, if they'll go that route.
