Ok so last night I rolled a Magi,Rogue then a Warrior couldn't make my mind up which has the upper hand. I can definitly say Humans are less than the Elves and Dwarfs are in between. The rogue is crap in a way with the stealth and backstab so I rolled a Warrior with duel weapons hmmm seems they have the upper hand in this game... Anyone else think that the Warrior has the upper hand?Posted Image

As for origin, if you like movies featuring downtrodden Jews getting payback: City Elf all the way.

City Elves are like the Jews, Blacks, Native Americans, Asians, and any other discriminated against ethnicity all rolled up into one delicious "Let's Go Kill Whitey" package.

Never, EVER, tell people you are scared on the internet.
You are bound to have a number of people saying;  "I'll hold your hand."

LOL.  Loved this.  Except I always figured my mage to have hippie tendencies.

once you start realizing the power of mass impact spells like virulent walking bomb, cone of cold + stonefist, blizzard + tempest...

mage is by far the best character class IMO

Why not compromise and play 'em all? It's your game.

I really liked the mage the best, but unfortunately it's limited to one origin. If you wanted to be a rogue or warrior, you had five different origins to pick from. You can still live vicariously through Morrigan or Wynne! ;)

I am at my third playthrough as a rogue... don't like it that much, though the damage is great.

First playthrough was a sword and shield warrior.

And second play-through was for a mage, whose slightly weird grin you can see on my avatar.

I am a warrior at heart, though.

That is not reason to play a rogue. a) you can have rogue in party without playing one B) xp comes so easy in this game and means so little in the end.

Yes, but the rogue(s) who join your party are always vastly inferior to what your MC can be at the same point in the game.

Also, have you looked at the XP you can miss out on if you don't have a good rogue in your party or play as one? There are quests you can't even do if you're not a rogue...

It's a reason for him. Why try to dispute preference?

Personally, I am most at home playing a warrior, however I do enjoy mages and archer-rogues. Unfortunately, dual-wielding isn't fun for me, as it's just hack and slash. I prefer a warrior with a 2-handed weapon.

I also use the improved 2h mod, which makes 2-handers pretty damn good.

Although I have finished twice with a warrior, i grow bored of them by about level 10.

I love the mage class, that was my 3rd playthrough too.

I'm normally a warrior in most games.

Rogues in my party are inferior to what exactly? I want my PC to be dpser if I play rogue, not can opener.

I am just saying that you can safely end the game at level 17 and not miss much nor have big problems in finishing it. And getting to lvl 20 is very easy even if you dont do lot of (some of them really boring) side quests.
This is not MMO for levels and xp to matter.

Once you play as a rogue, then go back and play through as other classes, all those early traps and locked chests become like slivers under the fingernails.

I prefer slicing through darkspawn with my blade, and being drenched in my enemies blood
